Sorry ‘bout that —been a tad poorly and confined to hospital for a few days.Was all a bit of a rush before being confined to barracks for a while and then told its my age doncha know !!!!!! First of a few visits to the medical institution [as opposed to the mental institution.] methinks. Lets see what tomorrow brings !!!!!!!

Well, I’ve had better weeks in my life !!!!!!! Really went through the wringer on tuesday, and Wednesday wasn’t any better either. If this keeps on , I’m going to have to get off this damn helter -skelter for a while and take a Sabbatical!!!!!! I just cannot keep pace with my expectations or ambition. I can remember the time i was happy —-and thats a while back now .
Keep remembering my sainted mother saying , “not to worry—there will always be a tomorrow !!!!!! Now I’m not so sure she was always right because one day there will not be one ??????????

are you starting to sound a little bit like the movie Helter skelter about Charlie Manson one of our more celebrated demonic colonials. I know you’re just referring to your schedule Jackie and I don’t know how you do it keep the faith your mothers, always right they’ll be tomorrow’s, what you’ve got a lot of Yesterdays and as long as your memory keeps kicking in sometimes the Yesterdays are worth all the tomorrows. I’m saving something for you when you come over in November best always a Amberjack oh by the way my friend from bermuda Mark Selley, his son, David Selley, and racing partner, Steve Bridges in the team, bermuda boat, one day around Bermuda race a couple of weeks ago, and also did well in the Last ocean race over in St. Petersburg just after the hurricane that went through here. So we’re looking forward to the boys being in Key West and doing very well.

It was just like my early days in my dads bake house 100+degrees in a white apron and a tall hat. My grandad used to say —-ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COAL AND FLOUR IS ———ONES BLACK AND ONES WHITE ——-JUST BOTH AS BLOODY DIRTY !!!!!!!!!
Today has been the hottest day of the year so far ———-had the air-con on full blast today “ thats both the door and window wide open” !!!!!!!!!!
still have to do a pair of gearcases for the Miles Jennings replica —- props arrived today. Only way they will get finished is by working early mornings or middle of the night ———better be early as i can piss off my neighbours without really trying !!!!!!

My son Mark and Craigs wife Jessie will be once again hosting “THE OFF MEETING”.Will be held beginning of November—just before the Key West event, so as not to interfere with anything else .
Pleased to say Billy Seebold and Lynne are the first two to officially state they will be there.
Dont doubt for a minute that twenty or more old stalwarts will turn up, y’all know the ones i mean—-Odell—Fred—Charlie—-Noel—Caddy—just the regular “old boys”.
Will be held the same place as last year in Palm City Florida.
Food, beer and wine will be supplied as before , they just can’t cater for all those folks sleeping accomodation !!!!!!
Campers can always park up at Caddies place [BYBLOS] in Indian Town.
Gary and Lou can arrange a visit to the Huski Works ——- Wilson Custom Marine will open its doors too, so there will be plenty to see and do.
i would ask all those intending to show kindly inform us so we can cater for the numbers.
Sooner —rather than later would be nice !!!!!!!!

Finally just about finished the MILES JENNINGS REPLICA —— did the gear cases but again I’m not happy with them ,so i will do them again in brass [just like the originals] .
gone off at a tangent [as i so often do] with a Stearman Bi-Plane !!!!!!!!!!! As usual i have bit off more than i can chew !!!!!!!!
Do not worry —- it will be feckin brilliant once ive got the hang of it —— done the wings and the spars —struts and wires are in thunk and the hard bits still to do —- but i got ambition .This is one i did. earlier. New one will be a shed load better than th WW1 effort.
