“THE SEEBOLDS” have stayed with us many times over the years !
When Mike was partaking in the “FONDA” series he would stay at the farm or with Mark and Vicky.
All my kids have stayed at the house on the lake of the Ozarks at one time or another.
Billy—Lynne and “Little Billy” came to stay with us when we lived in AVIGNON, Provence France .
Last year when Billy and Timmy came to the Bristol Re-union, They stayed with my daughter Sam at the Beach House in Elmer [Bognor Regis}.
After they had left for home; Sam found this note under the pillow in the bedroom !!!!!!!!!!!
Typical of the thoughtfulness of “THE SEEBOLDS”
So grateful for having known all the Seebold family from “Grandpa Bill” —- MisterBill——Little Billy—-Mike —-Timmy ——Lynne and “Crazy Rita”. Had some of the most wonderful times of my life with these people.
Funnily enough the people around them aren’t too shabby either —-SQUIRT—-PREACHER MAN—SUTTER—-LEO—- the list is endless. Not forgetting “CHARLES THE TRUTH”. [PAWNBROKER}.
Get well soon Billy — hell of a lot of people love and pray for you !!!!! See you at the old farts -god willing .Last edited by jackiewilson; 08-20-2023 at 04:27 AM.

Well “THE LIONESSES”
take on the Spaniards in the world ladies soccer cup final in Australia in a few minutes . Its about time we won something — been 58 years since the men won the final in 1966 [year my youngest was born].
Never was any good at predictions but i reckon we should win 4–1. Somedays you eat bear !!!!!!

Afraid the lionesses ran out of roar— no doubt about it the Spaniards were the better team on the day—. Now it will be 60 years before we get another chance at a Trophy.
TODAY THE BEAR ATE US.

Seebold was the one person i never fell out with in the last 50 years. Never thought much about it , i only said what i was thinking at the time.
Garbrecht never understood the misery i was suffering at Windermere when Shakey went to the bottom, Hells teeth i won the class, what more do you want? Was rougher than a witches tit that day and i was running the smallest boat there . After the race — We had to pull it up onto the jetty to stop it sinking as there was a hole in the bottom . All the factory drivers had suffered from the conditions with very few finishing, i simply nursed the boat home winning the class. GG had a meltdown and let loose at me . Told me i was fired and he was employing Spalding and Percival as replacements !!!!!!!!!
So i told him the only reason he did that was so he could get into Jilly’s knickers !!!!!!!
Was a few years before we buried the hatchet and became good friends again.
I very rarely drove over my head, i had a wife and five kids and a garage to run. I watched a lot of pilots drive like they were immortal. Quite a few paid the ultimate price !!!!!!
Me, i had just two blow overs ——First was in the TORRIGGIA at IVER Heath. Which was the first true modern day tunnel boat in England and a complete unknown entity. Second was Havasu. I am still here —- lots of my close friends are not. Some of them were glory hunters , some of them were “accidents”. Just always knew i was determined never to be one of them !!!
You know what — maybe i should write a book !!!!!!!!!

Take a tomato plant and bury it in the ground , pray for some sunshine and some rain . If you can feed it horse-sh-t all well and good but bullish-t works just as well —- toms do need warmth as well as tears and nitrates and a bug free environment. Remove all lower leaves as soon as possible as well as split and diseased fruit . Include them in your prayers every night .
Or you could do what i do —- just go to the Sicilian brothers nursery and buy the giant tomatoes that they produce . At Ł11-00 a box of 6kilos [13lbs] why would i spend all that time trying to grow my own ?????????????

Grand daughter Louise taking time out from running the “HUSKI” and “POTHOLE HEROES” race team to take a spin with Timmy Seebold in the side by side two seater Promotion boat.
Funny how people think that a pro-boat two seater is something new and special, we had a two seater back in the FONDA days . That was Parkinsons idea .
Still does not compare to the three seater we used in “CONDOR MAN” —-that was the brain child of Me-Hodges and Dave Minty getting together with the art department at Pinewood studios. Was Hodges that built the three seater after Mark and i persuaded the film director it could be done. We ran the PARIS boat on a feisty day in the open sea , with white caps and Mark hanging on the cowl, after we tied straps across and through the cowling .
We were in business —— i was going to work for “THE MOUSE”.

When I was in Europe (and even when I saw Tom & Jillian at Havasu) they were always together.
Tom was at a race in Uppsala Sweden in 1971 (apparently alone, but I don't recall that with any accuracy).
I was told after that race, word got back to Jillian about some of Tom's nightlife activity.
And every race thereafter, that I saw Tom at from 1971 to '73, Jillian was there and standing beside him.
And, without question she was a pretty site to behold.
The attraction, that I witnessed, of Jillian to Tom, was that the closes Gary G got ... was in his dreams.
Here is teammates Bob & Tom, with the pretty blonde Jillian standing by in the photo. This photo was at a Paris 6 Hour race.

That’s ROZ KNOTT with BOB SPALDING she was married to Chris hodges at that time and then later to THE EARL OF NORMANTON.
Bob was married to Patsy [who was very much in charge of the Spalding household] After Toms demise in Liege —- Bob Married JILLY .
Didn’t last long as Bob was all three musketeers rolled into one and one great lady was never enough.
Tom was as handsome as a guy can get without any feminine tendencies and it was always a competition between the pair ——-a case of what happens away from home —-stays away from home.
none of us were angels , myself included . Garbrecht was legendary but couldn't hold a candle to Pruett. But then neither could DON JUAN !!!!!!!!!!

been doing my demented Gippetto bit this last week — My son Mark landed at Gatwick this morning and tomorrow we head to Cowes for the Friday night shindig at “THE SQUADRON” .
Done a couple of concepts for the occasion.
Miles Jennings has a couple of my efforts to pick up , god himself has absolutely no idea whether he will be calling in to pick up the said items’
Was hoping to clean up the shop before Marks arrival but again it proved to be wistful thinking.
Older i get —busier i get. Now there really are not enough hours in the day to carry out the good intentions my mind sets out for me [neither do i have the raw energy].
Started to use a walking stick—- if i didn't i would simply fall over !!!!!!!!!
Did manage the car boot today—- spent an obscene amount of money on ridiculous things that I did not need anyway but will make a shilling or two so i do not need to go out to work again.
