Usually get into SUPERSHED a little after 7-30am — my sainted mother always reckoned an hour in the morning is worth two of the afternoon —- i find i am slowing down a lot around 3-00pm after a cup of tea and the pills —-feet start to drag a tad .

Jackie, you tapped into a niche (the boat racing group) which has been probably underrepresented by model artists. However, as we know the race fraternity is not a large population, in which to garner a sizeable potential base to sell too.

Having said that, it seems that all artists have created more pieces of art, than what the public will purchase. Nevertheless, we appreciate your body of creative work.

Always liked to dabble in all kinds of materialistic creations since i retired in 1982.
I bought a huge derelict farm complex in West Sussex in 1978—then spent the next 22 years creating homes for my kids [which none of them wanted] and fernagling a living.
Buying —selling— swopping —-wheeling and dealing.
Was surprised just how“close to the wind“ i sailed in those long gone days.
I did come across all sorts of oddities ——which i made into something and sold to survive —- made furniture —-sold cars—— repaired anything and everything .
That was quite an educational curve [especially the bit about my kids wanting to find their own way in life and not what i wanted them to do]
When i moved to France i met all kinds of ex-pats . Americans—-Swedes—Norwegians—Belgians——Spaniards——Finns and every odd bod who ever left a homeland.
Wasn’t until my Swedish friend RUNO CRONSTROM took me to SWEDEN to met some of his arty friends —— saw all the kinds of concepts they were creating, i realised —I COULD DO THAT.
Runo challenged me to copy some of his friends work [which did with ease]. Plus i sold it — thats when i started using my own mind to fernagle my own bits of architecture.
If i had to rely solely on the boat racing fraternity to offload my work then i would be very hungry indeed .
As well as being few and far between, most have short arms and deep pockets ?????
Although i must confess there are the odd few genuine race enthusiasts who have spent a lot of money RICH LUHRS—-GENE LANGHAM—TED BOYD—SCOTTIE B.—SEEBOLD—MARK RATHERMEL —-to name just a few . Not ALL racers are tightarsed !!

. Appreciate the CREATIVE BODY OF WORK Roy. But i do not do models , [wouldn’t know how] only concepts.
If you want models -and at a reasonable price look no further than PHILLIP MORRIS -HE DOES GREAT OFFSHORE MODELS AT REASONABLE PRICES —-as far as i know he has never done a circuit boat.

Today i did a good thing —- i rescued a RIVA from under the bench .
been polishing this regularly for years . Its in beautifully flowered Brazilian mahogany [no longer available as its an endangered species] My take on how a RIVA might have looked had they ever decided to enter the fray.

Probably is —my knowledge of american muscle cars is limited —— do like the look of that one though -comes from a time when cars had character . I could tell you the name of every European make of car —model and year——-then came the japs . Was about then all damn cars began to look alike.
