I forgot to ask you Jackie if you ever met a fellow named David Gilmour in your travels to the states. He was part of the Boat team of Abbet and Gilmore in Miami very famous boat dealers around town back in the day. Since you mentioned formula one that was one of David’s passions before he passed a few years ago he was a great man and always good for a laugh or two and a burger and a beer. David Gilmore will go down in the annals of history of offshore —- hard man — along with Tommy SOPWITH ——Alfie Bullen —-Gervais ——- Shand- Kydd—- Tim Powell—Ian Toll —. I didnt know him but my son Mark did.

If you’ve been in Florida as long as I have you know all those guys. I was lucky enough to be friends with Bill and work with him on the Popeyes team for a summer back in 85. Pruitt I metAt different races but he was in a whole different . Saw him on the triple Jones at Havasu and 69 and Sirois also running the app up and away. Richard Powers is another story I knew of him as he was an older racer but one crazy human being. Thank Reggie still alive . But Bilz/ gone I hear your friends about his wife VidaEvery once in a while she was friends with my ex-wife JoyceEvery once in a while she was friends with my ex-wife Joyce and we used to party and we used to get in some good parties.I was out on the barge with Popeyes in 85 when they were doing the Miami New York run waiting to refuel them off the coast of South Carolina at frying pan shoals I was just a punk kid but I was helping out. Actually I was older but I had quit boat racing for business reasons and was just putting on the Caribbean Club races

How ‘bout STEVE SIROIS ??? Although i must confess i didnt really get to know him until JIM HAUSER —-CADDILAC——STEVE and myself created OFF.
Was in the late sixties and early seventies that i started regular visits to the USA . I Got to love the place and the people .
Son Mark and my grandkids are all ensconced in MARTIN COUNTY.
Youngest daughter SAM has a holiday home on the intercostal in STUART.
I have a very strong affinity with The USA , particularly Florida . Made a lot of friends there over the years .
Lately i have been thinking to myself —— i have more past than i do future !!!!!!!!!
Maybe i had better get back to my book FOLKS THAT LIVE FOR THE THRILL ???????????

it was the day after the derby I tripped on an ice cube going to the refrigerator to make another mint julep so I cannot help be held accountable for my misspellings Ramblings and out of sequence meandering memories. I think I remember this guy from CypressRamblings and out of sequence meandering memories. I think I remember this guy from Cypress Gardens when I was a kid My younger brother skied at the Garden Center summer of 67 and 68. He also flew a kite there. He was on the University of Miami ski team. Daniel O’Neil RIP. So check this both of you

Do do you know Bear cut Keystone Heights the townhouses long 125th St. causeway. It was just business. We were both scarab dealers back in the day they were in North Miami Beach and I was in Homestead down in the Keys we did a lot of business back-and-forth together on Wellcraft boatsAnd other things. David at his office looking out over Biscayne Boulevard. Last time I was Down there to see him in probably 2008 and I ran into a Guy RadianoWho I think was the service manager at the time. I believe this was just before TNT took over the large barn there at the marina.

Had the fourth Covid vaccine yesterday , supposed to be the dogs cajones and give you immunity from everything from snotty noses to the pox ?????
In the centre of CHICHESTER is THE GLOBE theatre and its 500 car parking area — travellers [gypsies] have moved in mob handed and parked their SUV’s and super new caravans all over the place . About fifty of them—-complete with washing lines —offsprings and dogs .
Now law abiding citizens have to pay around £2-50 an hour for parking !!!!!! Each one of the Gyppos takes up four parking places —-will not pay anything !!!!! Cannot be issued an eviction notice for five days [british law]. Now if i exceed my parking time by five minutes , i will be fined £100 —duh !!!! Now does that make sense to you
