Think we need to look back at our own history here for a minute. What did the Rotory weigh compared to the Merc six ???
Then there was the OMC V8 . Had to be hundredweights heavier than anything swinging a prop. Definitely scared the crap out of the opposition, so lets sling mud at it !!!!!!! Never achieved anything, but it felt better !
Fact that the new 600 Merc weighs in at 1250 lbs doesn’t help it a lot . That’s some hundreds of pounds over what the cosworth complete with its drive weighed in at .
De-Je-Vous ?? History repeating itself ???? I don’t know —— only time will tell.
Seriously, five and six motors on the bum of anything that floats ????? Only way to harness that sort of power , is to transmit it through the hull.
Remember how transom failed when the WIZARD was dropped on one ??? Remember the early days of the V8‘s, arse ends ripped out of usually reliably strong boats ? Granted most of them were wood, before the idea of building a race boat out of a bucket of resin and a roll of cloth came into being.
Innovation has always been ridiculed by those that didn’t invent it —- just a fact of life .
DUAL PROPS AND A SWIVELING BOTTOM END —— ME MYSELF WOULDNT BET THE FARM ON IT —- IMAGINE SIX GEARCASES ALL TURNING HARD LEFT {OR RIGHT}. DOESNT BEAR THINKING ABOUT.
I can remember the problems that steering any outboard device over the years has created .
Now the problems have been compounded into THE SWIVEL—— going to be interesting methinks, certainly would like to hear what the Mercury boffins think!!!

Was quite nice to hear a couple of friends did in fact notice the fact i was „“INCOMUNICATO“—-
i did in fact busy myself by trying to create a concept or two of the 600 12 cylinder Mercury outboard. One is a centre console cat with a pair of the damn things on its bum.
Another is a 50‘ Mystic with four stitched to the transom. Promised that to Scottie B. If Gary Stray doesn’t take it . And a single that i haven’t made up my mind what to do with yet.
I do have about twenty concepts , both circuit and offshore . Offshore boats range in size from 12“ to 20“ — both Vee bottoms and Cats!!! Single and multiple engines . Most of them are priced at 250 dollars US. Yes i can post—- but you pay postage, which can be between $40/50 us.
If you are interested . Let me know . Email. thejackwilson@icloud.com. {all lower case} yes, i do have a number of early efforts of Switzer Wings —— Apache 40‘s—- cigarette and Mystic hulls .Both inboard and outboard !!!!! Can do a deal on multiples if asked.
Sold most of the machines i had—— just have the bandsaw and belt and disc sander { 6“ belt and 9“ disc} both JET and man enough for my purposes .
BOUGHT AND PAID FOR ALL THE NEW MACHINERY—- just waiting for SUPERSHED to be built before bringing them to the new abode!

While I was out shovelling snow on this chilly afternoon in Canada, the FedEX truck rolled up. Lo and Behold, it was carrying one of Jackie's Concepts - The very rare and successful Rotary/Tunnel! How's that for a lift this weekend!!
This is my second JW work of art .. does this mean I have a collection now?
Jackie, it's beautiful piece - Thank you!

Nice to know somebody loves me—— sent another to North Carolina —- Kurt Dressler, and he actually paid for it, how about that ????????????
Finally found out that i can get paid from anywhere in the world via PAYPAL.
I AM STILL HOLDING MY BREATH UNTIL I FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT THEIR RATE OF COMMISSION IS.

Jackie, if the payment is done using the “friends & family” method nothing is deducted other than the relevant exchange at the time.
