Great driver in a great car is the match you need to win titles.
Plenty of great drivers never got the tools they needed.

Whats your opinion that a driver can be smart enough to go to a team that either has or will have the best car or is it just a random accident?

Very true Pilgrim. But then again there were drivers who thought they were great, that screwed up a good car
A great driver can make a mediocre car seem like the best.
Same thing happens in boats. Ive seen a good driver bring home a piss poor boat.

For a driver who’s not that good , how come Lewis has Pole in MONZA ?
Poor old Vettel never made Q3, Must be the car.
Quite a while since the Prancing horse won either a drivers or a constructors championship.
Could it be that Hamilton has been up there pinching the drivers top slot for the last few years?
No good asking me, i dont watch F1 anymore !

...a good driver, who is recognized as a good driver, should demand good equipment & a good team.

Upshot of all this useless information is, come christmas, i should have enough for an interesting hardback...

Turns out everyone wants to write a book...

And of course at the moment i am indisposed and sat on my backside with nothing else Better to do than scribble a note to the TRICKS THREAD ON SCREAM AND FLY, (Which i do most days). or pick a row with Lasse Strom or Bill Welch ( Willabee ). I am still of the opinion that Willabee’s HOT SINGLES is the best thread ever to grace the S+F site.
Lasse only got the numbers because he syndicated S+F with his facebook , whereas Willabee has an honest to God following of dedicated followers.
Just add up the numbers of HOT SINGLES and HOT MULTI’S. He’s head and shoulders in front of everyone, and deservedly so.
So endeth the Friday sermon !!!
Wow ... you polished Bill Willabee's apple.
Are you trying to get favorable mention in his racing book (if he took the initiative to write one)?

Jackie if I sent a photo of me, standing next to a beautiful woman in a bikini on the bow of a race boat, would you insert that photo in your illustrious book?

Also a suggestion, try not to get any blood stains on your manuscript.

I do not have SKY or any other system . I refuse to pay for anything other than a TV licence.
It costs nothing to look at my IPAD.

I have so many piccies of Beautiful girls that i have Known myself , i have never seen an ugly girl at any race meeting i ever attended , we only ever had BEAUTIES.

MANUSCRIPT IS NOW 100,000 WORDS ON THE IPAD,Pretty hard to get blood on it, no matter how lapse i get.

Oh dear me, You obviously dont know WILLABEE at all well. Asse kissing Welch would not be a very good idea, it would get you nowhere, except FLUSHED.
Bill Welch HAS written a book, its called “Hot Singles” its taken nearly two decades and is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. YES, OF COURSE IT’S BIASED. He was crew chief under Garbrecht at Mercury Hi- Perf during the glory years , so there’s No one more qualified to comment on product or personell , Equipment or events. Question him at your peril. I have on occasion and had the odd Snap-On thrown at me, along with the Usual Willabee caustic Comments.

Ah well, somedays you eat bear !!! Lewis ended up in seventh, not where he wanted to be I’m sure, but the rest of the front runners made a real pigs ear out of it. So the status quo remains the same. Flout the rules and get punished, normally for a rule infringement you get a ten second penalty. But you do have ten laps to decide WHEN to take it. Would seem no such rule was applied today?
A kick in the teeth was needed anyway, hes gotten far too complacent, needed to get back on track and forget all that BLM malarkey.
I haven’t seen an F1 race in three years, have better thIngs to do with my life, just saying!!!

Bugger, the poorly elbow turned sour on me. Another sleepless night and more aches and pains than is good for a body, prompted a swift visit to the hospital for a touch of the Professionals. XRays showed a cracked bone, didn’t need an x ray to tell me it was bloody sore!
Nothing like an eager young nurse cleaning an open wound to get your attention!!
That was six hours ago, . Its just beginning to get bearable.
Must try harder to stay in the upright position in future. inspecting concrete is for idiots.

Renato’s first car was a Lancia, nothing spectacular, though he did put a go faster stripe over the roof and bonnet.
Yes Jackie the winner of Bristol 1973 was Mercury. The tandem drivers' Renato Molinari and Bob Hering.
As I recall on Saturday Hering drove boat 22, and then on Sunday Renato stepped in.

1973 was the year I became fascinated with the Bristol race venue.

Here is Renato with V8 power at Bristol also.
