Damned if I can remember what happened to this pair—— one was for Butch Stokes—- the other was for Jim Hunt.

Bench is probably low by most standards—- I’m 5’6” on a good day and standing on tiptoe.
Ive been working at 32” or 82 cm’s for the last thirty years and never had backache—- please don’t tell me it’s an “ age thing” Pilgrim——- my sainted mother used to say that to me since I was eleven.

Been rooting about in the shed trying to uncover “wings”—— I know theres at least four of them— two all black EL DIABLO’ S—- damned if I can remember—- one of the s the old 800 and maybe an 8000. It needs to be a fine day, everything has to be chucked out in the garden before I get to the old “Concepts”. Maybe tomorrow?.

Afraid I’m one of those OLD powerboat drivers that are writing a book on their experiences—- I keep slipping in a chapter, here and there whenever I don’t have much to do, which is not often .
Brownie has finished his book Tales from Thunder boat Row and very kindly gave me a signed copy .
Just heard RON Hill has finally finished his book which I would imagine is more about hydro and circuit racing than offshore, so naturally I’m keen to get my hands on one—- yes, I would like it the copy signed.
Ive known RON over fifty years—— he was batting for the other side so to speak—- but, nonetheless we crossed paths quite often over the years—- first time was the infamous confrontation between the Americans and the english pilots in the Paris pits early on a Sunday morning in October.

I'm not sure a 5' 6" Englishman would take on the likes of Ron Hill. Maybe you could break his knee cap.

Gene—— what do mean by “A Few years ago “ .?I’d say that’s the understatement of the year—— a few light years ago maybe !!! In the far off days when we were all so “young and beautiful “! Full of life and ambitions.

If you’ d. have told me you wrote a book I would have bought it—— as it is I’ll do a deal with you—— you find a copy —- sign it and send it to me—— and I’ll do the same thing for you with my book.
Now you could be batting on a sticky wicket here Gene —- mine’s a long way short of being published simply because it’s not even half written!
Lets see if we can get Fuji—— Peters90—- or BobV to enhance the book —- blow it up and get you a few hundred sold. The things I do for love.
You better send me your address in Colorado ( for future reference) by PM
