Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Pleasant sort of morning in the shop——- beavered away at a useless discarded concept, trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear as my sainted mother used to say! Neither use nor ornament!
Been a bit broody all morning—— bloody French buying everything abroad when they can’t even pay their own bills, and I’m still pissed at Apple!
Saving up to pay the postage on three parcels to the USA——— one is a bunch of wooden spokeshaves For Cadillac———- next, 20 kilos of old scrap brass Victorian figurines I picked up over the years at the scrapyard.
Last one is an old trunk—— full to the brim with 60 kgs. of Concepts I made over the last few years—— Mark doesn’t really want them——— they’ve been packed waiting for me to post for nearly a year!

Ah well, maybe next year——- “(Send in the clowns)”.

Concept’s coming along nicely——- bears some resemblance to what I’m trying for !
Turns out MACACE IS A SERVICE PROVIDER——- no wonder Apple had no idea what I was talking about.
It was the Tech Team that put me straight on where I was going wrong.

Just two more days and we can kiss 2018 goodbye——- bring in the new, let’s give it a warm welcome——- see if I can’t make a better job of it than I did the last one !
Somehow, I never seem to quite get done all the things I meant to, whether I’m slowing down or simply growing forgetful, I can’t tell you. Whatever it is——— I don’t suppose it’ll get any better !
Maybe I should try something different——— a writer—- singer—-comedian—— chef—— explorer or architect. Better to stay just the way I am methinks——— that way nobody gets injured.
Stopped making new year resolutions years ago——- could never man up to keeping them—— or else I cheated!
Anyway—— you can decide what you want to do any time in your life——- you don’t need any special day to do it——— Cos it’s up to you to make every day special!

After close on seven weeks without any email facilities——— today I was finally granted a licence to mail!
Very well spoken young man called me——- Eton—- Harrow or university educated——- took great pains to tell me how secure the new MACACE was——— Si I just asked if the old “package” was insecure ? He assured me I was secure the last time out.
He kept referring to it as a PACKAGE, so I asked him what else was included besides my email address——— Gushed on about a “Tech team”——- up there with the best server—— Blah—blah—blah.
It all boiled down to the simple fact that, from having a freebie server——- it now costs me £36 a year for exactly the same service with the same provider I have had for the last umpteen years.
Jolly FECKIN hockey sticks —— why am I not doing back flips down the aisle like a wife beater who’s just been given absolution?
Upshot of all this ———-any of you can now email me !
Many thanks to JAMES at the Tech Team for helping sort this fiasco !
In the end, I was able to perform the task of getting back on line, all by myself——— ???
Guy on the help line had to be university educated——- all the old Etonians and Harrovians are in Parliament screwing up the country!

There was me thinking I was the only one that got pissed off at the likes of Murdoch and Apple—— welcome to the club James!
Why not sue the buggers——- you can prove you was TECHTEAM long before the dot dot, odd million or three would come in handy now and again I’m sure.

Ever notice how the “GURUS”—- don’t have a lick of common sense or an ounce of humour.
Educated guy who helped me out with the email problem—— left me on hold for a couple of minutes to listen to some damn awful “Music” ? When he came back , I told him I didn’t like the choice of music, he replied “Oh I can’t hear what kind of musics playing———- I still didn’t FECKIN like it I told him——- it fell on stony ground!

I do dislike “ Glitches “———- especially when they cost me money——- I like to ease my way through life——— everything in place—- and a place for everything.
Do you realise that if MACACE had even just a couple of million users that were suddenly charged £36 for the use of————— well, let’s just say the water rates and the next Lexus 450H F Sport wouldn’t be a problem!

Sunday—— but that’s ok, I have the morning in the shop, but then we have guests for a long, long lunch .

First shot hot Of is the original concept I kept in front of me to keep some semblance of a boat—— bear in mind , it had been kicking about under the bench for a couple of years.
I did use a lot of artists licence I’m afraid——- if I ever get around to fernagling another, next time it would be a whole lot better.
Original Concept is a beautiful looking craft that looks like 200 mph on the stand.
Apparently a boat was put together that was nothing like the intended——— the deal was screwed and the sponsors pulled out———one mans dream died right there..
If any of you know the whereabouts of Tony Fahay——- he can have it.

That’s it——— the parties are over——— time to call it a day.
Daughter Sam is in Sydney——- she’s got her tickets for the opera house and the fireworks on the bridge New Year’s Eve.
Mark and Craig and the rest of the clan have driven up to snowshoe for a week !
Looks Like I have a free and clear week to get my house in order and concentrate on something extraordinary——— been no inspiration as yet, but I’ve got ambition !

Here’Tis——- last day of 2018—- means I made another year and get to see another one——- how good is that?
Not in bad health although it does take fourteen pills a day—— a watchful wife and regularly check ups at the surgery to ensure that. Can’t be bad can it, 86 and rising——still fighting—— still “Cranky”as Willabee would say———- creating mayhem wherever possible——- dislike getting screwed by anybody—- especially wealthy, greedy corporations!
Still creating mainly useless concepts out of nothing in particular for no one in particular—— but it does keep me on my toes and the little grey cells active.
Like to think it slows down the arthritis.
Stopped looking in the mirror years ago——- had no idea who the old bastard looking back was—— ?
See the old year out gracefully—— just gift it a swift kick for good luck——- have a wonderful. “NEW YEARS EVE”.

Did download the app for the threeD printer———- can’t really make head or tail of the prop sizing chart !
Still, some of the grandkids will be around early in the new year——- just need a few hours tuition to get the ball rolling.
First time in many a long year me and the goddess are staying home for new year. Decided to let the new year in on Tuesday when I go out to the shop !

You know I can always make a better concept the second time round. Wasn’t really happy with the four pointer, lots of room for improvement———- so I started cutting out the bits for Mark2.
Theres no hurry and I’ve got all week——- nothing but peace and quiet from now on——- the rush is over.
