i Remember them well——— Clive Rookwood and Dave Brady at IMPALA PRINTING made those, 100 stick ons and 50 cloth patches. Cost all of £100 including the art work.
Gave them out at the parade through the streets of Casale winding up at the football stadium!
Little kids kept asking for them———- Pleeze mister Jackie can I have one ?———- found out later they were swopping two of my stickers for one of Renato .
Afraid I don’t even have any of the patches or stickers left. It was over forty years ago!

I don't know how it is that you have escaped the naughty step. Consider yourself very lucky. There are no provisions for food or any any other necessities there. So when your time comes, arrived prepared...

One of today’s problems stems from the fact that there is no such thing as the punishment fitting the crime.
Every time I see the news or read it on line, I am amazed at the leniency or stupidity of law enforcement judges dealing with criminals !
Lawyers claim sending a child abuser to jail would infringe his human rights.
Machete wielding thugs are only doing it on religious grounds so cannot be jailed.
Teenage gangs had disturbed childhoods because their mothers didn’t love them, so don’t blame them for being thugs. (My sainted mother would have beaten the crap out of me if I stepped out of line, right up to the day I left home for good).
Sick to my tits of hearing how unfair it is that “Mack the Knife” can’t have his 65” TV and IPhone X in his cell——— and how dare they say he can’t have Chinese take away on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday. After all he only beat up a 75 year old lady while burgling her home !
His excuse was “I didn’t know she was home”
So no, you don’t get to watch TV——- nor do you get food whilst banished to the naughty step ! If you do feel faint whilst serving, there’s a very good Vet on standby ——— only ever called him out the once when “Willabee” was on the step, he tried to commit suicide by throwing himself off the thick pile carpet.
Enough of all this nonsense———— today is the day my son leaves Florida to come and see the English side of the family, Me included I hope.
You know the old adage——- IF THE MOUNTAIN CANT GO TO MOHAMMED ?

Had five kids and there’s not one of them didn’t have a slapped arse at sometime in their life——- what they did have was parental respect and learned right from wrong——- not saying this is an answer or a solution to today’s problems. But I do know for certain, it never did them any harm, and you can ask any one of them!

    .

True story——- happened last week in the waiting room at St. Richards Hospital. Was there to get some physio on the new hip and we had to take Little Lizzie with us. she’s three years old, but bright. Rather large female, covered in tattoos walked in with a positively ugly child. Lizzie walks up to the kid and they start chatting, she suddenly comes straight out with it “ YOUR MUMS VERY FAT ISNT SHE?” Why is she painted ?
Oh Crapperootles, then it goes from bad to hellish, what’s that painting on your leg? She asks?———- “it’s a dragon”. the fat one replies———- why is he sick says Lizzie ! Oh, that’s fire coming out of his mouth says fattie——— “looks like sick to”me says Liz.
Luckily Jillys name was called and we had to leave———- was half an hour later as we walked past the waiting room———”there’s the lady with the sick dragon!”————OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES .?

Jackie...That reminds me of something that I was alleged to have said in my toddler years. I don't remember any of this, but my mother always told us that "little people are not suppose to have scissors". Well that came back to haunt her when she took me to the fabric store. She found the material that she need and we went to the cutting desk. Low and behold, there was a midget woman working behind the cutting desk. She measured the material and picked up the scissors and out it came.... To her last day my mother never let me forget that incident.

I had a mother like that Bob——- threw my clothes and a suitcase out on to the street on a weekly basis telling me to bugger off!
One day I did—— went south of London—— she cried for a week my brother told me, then followed me down south a couple of years later!
Loved her to bits, but couldn’t stand being with her for more than ten minutes before we would get into it——- She was over ninety when she finally “Copped her clogs”——-I was in Australia at the time——I cried when I heard the news——- for a long while!

Never did post a piccie of the last “Concept”———- not that it’s totally finished, but it’s close enough you’ll get the gist of the thing.
Mark was supposed to land 5:30am today at London Gatwick Airport from Orlando——— haven’t heard anything so I presume all went well. Maybe I’ll hear something tomorrow.
Been stifling hot and humid all day, but I think that’s the last of the hot days and nights for this summer. All set for big dips in temperature——— wore long pants for the first time in three months——can’t see me putting em back on this year!

Thursday———-car boot day, damn but that came around quick——— always full of hope and usually come back thinking why the hell did you bother!
Workshop is like the bottom of a baby’s pram———— crap and biscuit crumbs everywhere——— I often get so busy in my own importance that I wind up disappearing up my own backside.
Got the miseries today——- no reason——- it just happens, always try to stay upbeat and positive——always look on the bright side of life———-but sometimes it rains !

Turned out to be a great day——— right out of the blue, Mark calls and says “let’s go out for lunch”——so we went for lunch at a great little cafe in littlehampton marina, first rate food and the day was really made when my daughter Kim joined us, along with Sam and Clive !
Dont often get most of my kids together at any one time, so it was nice.
Went back to the beach house——- tide was out, so we played Boules on the beach for a couple of hours. Great fun !
Mark started going through the boat racing pictures he has collected over the years——— amazing how many he has of long forgotten events and people.
He was just thirteen when he witnessed Shaun Normantons terrible accident in the Cougar during the six hours of Paris race that broke his back——- he came across this Picture of him taken at the time !Click image for larger version.

Told me how the boat submarines, pulled him out of the seat and broke his back——— drifted down the course with Lord Normanton holding his hand in the air yelling HELP——— took the tow boat twenty minutes to reach him as he was a long way down stream.
Believe he was driving with James Beard that year.
We talked around the table for many hours———— was well turned ten before I made my way home—— tired but happy—— I’d had a good day with my kids———- maybe I’ll get another day like that one, if I’m lucky !

Jackie - I enlarged the above photo, but I am not sure that you would want me to post it. It looks very painful.
