I still maintain the opinion that THE MAGNUM was a Torriggia and not a Molinari as the rest of the world believes.
But, who am I to argue——-

Dad was based at a field located in Parham. This is a small farming community Northeast of London. My cousin, myself and our wives will be recreating a trip made by our parents many years ago. The land is still owned by the same family and they never took down the WWII tower. This has now been converted into a small museum dedicated in part to the 390th Bomb Group. Don't know what our schedule will be. I am fortunate to have in my cousin ,my own personal travel agent and tour guide. I have had to do almost nothing to plan this trip

Now I live fifteen minutes from Parham———- which is a massive country estate housing ridiculously valuable paintings by TURNER and such notables.
Its situated in Petworth West Sussex——— which is South West of London. Are we talking about the same Parham———- famous also for point to point horse racing ?

The place we are going to is a little ways northeast of Ipswitch. At least that is the closest city of any size in the area.

I would, but then you will no longer need my services. Also, this is the only bargaining chip I have to stay off the notorious "Naughty Step." Poor Willabee is only about 6 months into his 40 year sentence that you bestowed upon him...

All kidding aside, that is a great picture of you, Renato and Mark. Thanks for posting...

This was Pruett at six months old———- he loved the snow and females ! Had him for over sixteen years. Now her who shall always be obeyed is seriously looking for another—— life begins at 86 these days———- wonder where the years went from when I was forty?

OK, most American airbases were in and around Suffolk———- Bob Spalding worked with the USA forces up there———- if you go there in June, you should call in at the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad raceboat Club———— they have races every other Thursday evening when the tide is right.
Lackenfield ? Don’t know why this rings a bell——— maybe that’s where Bob worked !

The base was known as Framlingham (see google) I was fortunate enough to have been taken there on a visit several years ago..well worth it especially for someone like your goodself with a family link.....Try to get a minute or two on your own with no distractions, dead fields are very emotive...
I hope you enjoy your visit to England.....
