If if only I could post piccies the right way up.
Just in case nobody knows what it is ————it’s one of the first wings I ever saw.
I always believed that James Beard built his VOLARE after seeing this!

Jackie - The way that I have to do it probably would not work on your system, but briefly, this is what I have to do. I copy your picture and paste it on a letter to myself and send it to myself. Then when I open the picture, I save it to my "saved from mail" folder. Then I find it in that folder and left click on it and then right click on it, which will give me a drop down menu. In the drop down menu I click "edit" which will allow me to rotate the picture and increase it in size if needed. Then I save it. Then when I go back to S & F, I import that revised picture. There you have it.

Bingo, well it worked that time Bob———— buggered if I know if it was luck or good instructions. May have to try it a few times before I start crowing.
Bill Allen ( I think) and I set off from Oshkosh to Havasu in a pick up truck with an extra fifty gallon Mercury tank strapped to the back. This was to reduce fuel stops along the way.
Ridgell left twenty minutes before we did, driving alone and in an old truck that carried the fuel rig for the team. We finally caught up with him at an Indian Trading Post somewhere in Arizona. some 2,500 miles down the road, we were running 95—100 most the time ! He bought that knitted jacket, so of course I had to buy one too. ———- My wife wore that damn coat for the next twenty years!

So sorry to hear about Kay’s accident Pilgrim———poor old Micks going through the wringer yet again.
She always said she’d know when it was time to hang up her gloves ! Don’t need reminding of the horrendous cost of hospital fees after a powerboat accident. Been there
Incredible to think Keikhaefer paid all the medical and insurance for all his drivers all the time

they are not current F1 boats so no floatation bag and I dont think they use full time air either and old fashion lid that just falls off under any force.
it may well of been done like that years ago but why risk that now?

Pilgrim———-it’s a case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t!
I have not kept up with F1 racing since I walked away from it 25 years ago———I do not know the current rules and regs. Maybe they run “vintage F1 or something like that.
Several years ago Mark informed me that a current F1 ———rigged and ready to take the motor was in the region of $100~000 US ( one hundred thousand dollars).
Jesus wept———unless you got Sony or ICI sponsor ship there’s no way your racing F1 any more, so maybe some bright spark thought of a way to keep the old rigs running?
Im afraid boat racers were always totally fearless and illogical, with the occasional screw loose.
im sure you must have heard the old adage “ TIS BETTER TO HAVE LOVED AND LOST——-THAN NEVER TO HAVE LOVED AT ALL”———————-same thing with boat racing.

Day started off well——— Quick trip to Bognor Regis Hospital——no problem!
Then over to Chichester Hospital———today’s the day I find out just what the hells wrong with me and what the conclusions are.——-wrong——— They gave me my driving license back.
Im more confused than I’ve ever been. Only good news I can tell you is, I feel a lot better.
So, on the whole it’s not been a bad day.
Intend tohave seven hours in the shop tomorrow——— tell you if I make it.
