When I move int the new workshop Fuji, the whole workshop floor was wall to wall fitted carpet. Well it was January when we moved, thought it might be nice to have it warm underfoot-----big mistake----carpets and planers, band saws and metal lathes do not mix. You just get left with bits the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and the brush curls up and dies soon as it comes out of the broom cupboard. Drastic action is called for in the form of complete carpet removal -----that way I can sweep up and keep the shop tidy. I'm already bending down to reach the workbench and stepping up to get in the shop. Its a bit like working in the local tip at the minute !

Damned weekend is here again------winters over and done with and we're half way through spring, can't get used to the ever increasing speed of the life roundabout.
Cold as charity again this morning with more of the same due next week. Still too cold to doff another cashmere------three is about right for this temperature.
I feel the scrapyard calling out my name-----maybe today I'll get lucky!

Restocked the metal pile------found a 6' X6"X 3' X 1/2" slab that I can get at least fifty gearcases from.
A whole carrier bag full of helicopters and fighters, had to bite the bullit and pay through the nose, but I got enough fly babies to last me the rest of my days.
Started on the big clean up--------will have to bin a ton of the old stuff, nobody wants anything these days, so if you've seen anything that tickles your fancy , either drop me a line, or give me a call !

Thanks Bob------that's another one and a half I owe you !.

Was A wise decision to buy the bag full of goodies--------over 30 heliochopters and 25 fighters plus a few commercial buses like the Boing 700-454 and the 800 airbus !
Got some quality time in the shop today, was meant to be clearing up and carpet cutting, but the best laid plans of mice and men etc, etc, etc.

Ok, so tomorrow I start the big clear out clean up------kitchen goddess says now I don't do the garden any more, I should be able to keep the shop tidy.
What she doesn't realise is just how busy I am, haven't had time since last November to post the hydro to JOHN Schubert-------well that's my excuse -------so live with it !

Haircut and beard trim day------I'm beginning to look like Hemingway's "Old man and the sea" character. Must be related to a gorilla somewhere down the line. Why is it that hair grows everywhere in abundance except on the head ?
walked into the corner of the band saw, banged the muscle on my left arm--------bruise as big as a tennis ball with all the colours of the rainbow. Looks like her indoors has been knocking three sheets of sh-t out of me !
Forecast is lousy for the week -------does warm up a bit by the weekend. Not before time, you know the old adage--------"-naer cast a clout till May is out"------ there is some controversy about this, ----is it the May blossom----or the month of May ? Either way, I'm still keeping three cashmeres on till it warms up.

Made a concept of the legendary " MERCRUDJON " outboard.
Story has it Carl and Raiph were having lunch at "Adam and Eve's" diner , out on Paradiso highway, East of Eternity. CK was discussing the virtues of the five cycle, triple supercharged six stage, oxygenated, radial silicone, ceramic outboard. Old Ralph was in agreement that they would build a prototype----iron out the bugs and start a whole new product to put paid to Nipponese aspirations.
Havent come across any evidence that it ever ran at Parker--------have seen an old photograph, (just the one) which is the basis for the latest offering.
Will post a progress piccie tomorrow .
