Jilly reckoned I looked more like Gabby Hayes than George Clooney and decided today was Beard trim and haircut day------IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW YOU'D TAKE AWAY --------------good name for a song DONTCHA think ? The boy is back, so why don't I feel like a million dollars ?
Keep hearing Walter Houston and " the days dwindle down to a precious few"-----two more days and I'm outa here--------"Down the road a piece"-------these old tunes keep buzzing around in my head,got my head and hands full at the minute-------tried in vain to get the shop up and running before the move-------failed miserably !
Came across the CC7 which is all wrapped and ready to send John SHERLOCK-------should have been posted last month but somehow got overlooked-------story of the last month-----FECKIN Chaos.
Nothing worth taking a picture of, and anyway I forgot the damned camera----roll on tomorrow!

Schubert------SHERLOCK-----both good racing friends of mine, no excuses John, except I'm coming up 85 the end of the month------moving house------getting more forgetful (Jilly says "stupid")
How about-----my mind is full of new workshop, with capacity at maximum and ability at minimum ??

Doing a forage at the re cycling plant this morning-------have no idea how I will fare, it's not that I need anything------ but afflictions and addictions need feeding, scrapyard here I come.
Went to our local pub "THE HOLLY TREE" with my next door neighbour Dickie last night------chef had walked out earlier in the week, result was the lousiest chips I have ever tasted in my life-------never ever eat at a restaurant where the chef has just walked out!
Only two more nights at this place and we're done------no more "upstairs to bed" ------no more delving the depths of the swimming pool, life should be a doddle from here on in.

Did some unpacking of tools and hand machines--------Orbital. Sanders,angle grinders, power tools etc. Jesus wept, I got enough to open up my own plant hire business------
Should all be up and running by this time next week, Two lathes and planer thicknesser , snap on boxes, in fact all the rest of my gear gets moved in Monday.
Bungalow Baroness wanted curtain poles installed-----like NOW, -------just nip down to the "TRADING POST" and take a look at these great dining room chairs--------do like these glass topped nest of tables------we should buy them now ! Honest to Murgatroyd---I don't have a leg to stand on.
It may be called the trading post but the only trading is cash for goods------now where the hell does "TRADING" fit into that scenario .
Wasn't anything that lit my candle at the scrapyard------ to be honest I was full of no confidence from the outset-------shoulda gone to spec savers or stayed home!
Might just put a bid in for the SUNBEAM S7---- 1950/s shaft drive -----needs a shed load of TLC AND LOTS OF TIME------I got more than my fair whack of "loving care" ------ but running low on time.

It's pissing down-----the lane is like a stream, but if it keeps this up for the rest of the day it'll soon be a river !
Just taking the last of the shelves down-------now all that's left is the heavy machines-------no way can I begin to shift em. Anyway we paid an arm and a leg for the removal guys to do that.
Nieghbours and relations are sharing the log pile-----last ever fire is set to light lunch time and the bungalow has a gas fire------one of those that looks like a log fire but you control it with an iPhone , modern technology beats the crap out of me, you never know, maybe one day they'll invent one that cooks, sews, does the dishes, cleans the house and can put up curtain rails and do the garden and mow the grass-------then what would me and her highness do ?

Fire's died down---disconnected the Humax box ------the CD player and the TV, look around an empty house that was once home to Jilly and me.
Now it's just a few rooms full of packing cases-------no pictures on the walls ------not a trace of a "Concept" anywhere-----not a damn thing that says the Wilsons lived here for five years.
Removal vans get here "crack-o-sparrer", feels more like the undertaker's coming.
Last night in this house, new dawn starts in a few hours-----out with the old----in with the new ONIVAR-----we leave a bit of history here and start the new adventure. That's life.

Fuji, I am getting old and a tad unsteady on the pins-------I do not like stairs, especially the very steep ones-------if I never saw another swimming pool in the next twenty years, it would still be too soon.No I didn't owe the rent and got kicked out-------ground floor living is for the over 70/s.

Long, long, Ago, when I was young and still had ambition, I made this table out of American redwood-----I was once quite proud of this piece.
I found the plans for it in an American magazine called " Fine Woodworking " some twenty years ago, it was called the Hawaiian Pineapple Table------now it's the last bit of furniture left in the old house, nobody wants brown furniture anymore and it's been in sheds and garages for the last ten years, now it sits there, unloved and unwanted--------thought I might try EBay, but I'm full of no confidence-----seems a shame to take the axe and a zip saw to a thing of beauty.
Three days into the move and it's still raging chaos everywhere , new fridge, dishwasher, washing machine have all been delivered--------dishwasher is up and running, maybe I can take out the old "MAYTAG " washing machine we have used every day for the last seventeen years. It's far too big for this place, so the kitchen goddess has a brand fire new slimline "Hotpoint" with a hundred different programmes?
We don't have WI FI or internet installed yet-------its here in the house, but British Telecom don't have an "Engineer" free until the 23rd ------I could put the plug back in the socket-------but BT think I should wait and pay them £50 to do the same thing-------well, it's only money !?
Grandson Joe told me to just use my IPHONE---------duh ?
Workshop is jam packed full to the ceiling and into the drive------can't even get in to tidy it up and get it open for business---------may have to call on the grandkids for assistance.
Bloody Thursday again tomorrow-----time flies when your having fun.

F1 has new owners-------Bernie has another 800 Million--------what was it old Rhett Butler once said ?----Frankly my dear--------I don't give a damn, same here old fruit !!!
Car boot carried on as normal--------bought a few more items I really did not need but just had to have--------would have had a good day if her who shall always be obeyed without question had not wanted new curtains in the bedroom -------removing the old pelmet also disturbed the plaster, with her majesty overlooking proceedings and telling me how to do it without removing half the friggin wall, I decided enough was enough-----I handed her the drill , screwdriver and hammer and told her she could either do it or leave me in peace. Nerves are on the ragged edge, things not going to plan-------four days in and I still can't even open the doors to the shop------ I'm taking Friday off and concentrating on my workshop-------can't function properly------and there's no hiding place-----it's neither use nor ornament at the minute------stop the world------I wanna get off !

Funny how quickly you drop down the charts when your not that popular any more. Was a time when the "TRICKS" thread was in the top five--------not any more--------it even dropped to 13th last week, currently lying 11th behind a bunch of "STICKIES?"
Maybe it's time to give it a rest and move on with more productive things. ,!

Moving house has certainly lived up to its reputation as being one of the most stressful times ever---------I never had a baby, so I can't compare the experience . Can't see me shifting house many more times------I like the quiet life these days------folk don't even lock up their daughters any more, and I haven't been tail chasing since Key West. (1970)

Ask another provider send you the modem/router
The change is done at the exchange...
Hard to believe ( not really) bt still in the steam age.
Take your box from old home and plug it in and then ask them to turn it on or if its close find your junction box in the street and swap the lines over? Usually find a local bt guy to do that for a beer or 2
