FMP.....Are you referring to the black prop on mt pic above? if so that is the old 15X17P Aluminum prop that have since been upgraded to a 14 1/8 X 20P SS 4 blade prop and what a difference that made. Soon to mount a 4 Inch set back/4 Inch lift jack place and waiting on a 14x22P SS 4 blade prop to show up

No MWP Ballistic as they all seem to be up in the 27P range and 3 blades. I like the lift the 4 Blade gives this little boat after trying the MWP 4 Blade Apollo with 20P....completely different boat. Prop I am waiting on is a MWP 4 Blade 22P and see what that does.....after the jack plate.

A big black Tower would look better hanging off the back of your boat if you were to ask me.

Back a while I mentioned a Transom Saver.....Just ran across this where you wouldn't need a rear roller or fixed mount.

I wouldn't use that for trailering because it will still allow the engine to rock/bounce and flex the transom while you drive. The idea of a transom saver is to take the weight off the transom where the clamp attaches and distribute that weight through the transom saver to the frame of the trailer. That device you linked would be good for holding the engine stationary while servicing or sitting but I wouldn't use it for trailering.

Yes, you are right after re looking at it....There is nothing there other than a cushion for the motor....I have a HD Transom Saver and every time I go down the road I am still waiting to see the motor crash.

Good news bad news... Finally started putting the Canadian powerhead back together after getting it bored and back from the machine shop.
Bad news is 2 of the 3 cylinder ring kits are wrong, too thick for the piston slots. TSM is shipping me new ones however. Yay.
Decided to go red on this block. Red is faster haha.
You can see my massive port job on the old block. I'll be using the same high compression head, and carbon reeds, but keeping stock porting. For now.

I admire your stamina with this project, and the end result looks great. I know it is a bummer when mods fail or don't perform as expected, but I think you are wise to leave ports stock and go with your other performance goodies. You will succeed and have a boat that should give you hours of enjoyment. I find there is good performance gains in a good set-up IE, setback and prop choice. Happy boating and less wrenching for you.

That's 5 red ones I know of now, still not used to it. The twin Powercat , one of Bills, Chucks and now the triple. They should have over-nighted the proper rings to you !
