That engine has a lot more grunt then I would have thought.. There might be a 100 mph dance in this date.

Dirk, when you laid down 89.3mph with the 30 ET did you get an accurate measurement of where the M2 lower units prop shaft was below the boats notched pad?

What is the diameter of the 4 blade ET (knock-off) wheel you used?

yes I know exactly were it was its 14 1/2 30 hackney performer
Im going to set up the go pro looking at the case that should tell me something hopefully something I dont already know.....

Im coming to the conclusion unless I find a magic prop, like a bravo fs, or xs, or even a cleaver the Joey Superboat ran the fastest with a 3 blade double labbed cleaver, 90ish is the number, but I still have some tricks up my sleeve.........

you what really amazes me ? Mark at Tuff boat has gotten so much publicity with this boat being on Long Island and im sure he has a lot of input as far as e-tec, yes I nuked that bridge but it has nothing to do with his boat, it was a business issue not a quality issue, as a business person I would be taking advandage of this opportunity, even jr is quite, I just dont get it, someone told me its because hes got money and really dont care, and has his little niche market at the lake.......

everyone is talking about the does and donts because of what my be unacceptable to BRP, I wonder and think about all the mods to the merc motors and ive never seen a warrenty isuue, are they that picky? oh you put a tab on the gear case, or opps you put a couble of holes in the case to get more water opps no good, really are they that pickey? its not like were trying to blow stuff up, were just looking to make it better for this application...

Joe it really comes back to how good your relationship is with the dealer. We always tell our customers that warranty starts at the dealership. Lots of things can be "helped" thru the process if your dealer has a excellent relationship with the vendor. That being said the BRP computer has way more info in it than the mercury one.

For instance in 1987 I drove my new Buick Grand National to Florida and the rear blew. The Buick dealer there was like its covered under warranty until they put the car up on the lift and found the nitrous line coming from my trunk. Well I had to pay for the new rear. When I got home I went to my dealership who said that was BS and Buick wouldn't know I was running nitrous and got me my money back. Point is its all how your dealer handles your claim.

Mike I realize that, but holy smokes, we are not a bunch of quacks, maybe we can teach them a thing or two..., my point being we are carefull in what we do and a lot of thought goes into the process, we not just running wild, a lot of smart people are have came up with these mods, and its not like we quessing
I do have a great dealer down the block from who really helped me alot Lindenhurst Outboard

I know Joey impress was helping you to get that big number before the accident . mabe a few runs with the green yamaha guys will get you back on track. boats are like women some can work it some can't try to stick with the guys that run not the guys that say they can. not trying to offend anyone just trying to help . it's a great boat with a lot of potential no person has ever hit the nail on the head first shoot keep working hard it will pay off. I know your not looking to be top dog . if you are looking for more voiding warrenty is not the answer to going faster . setup is the answer post a video of tach and gps will help the Internet racers help you more . baja200merk knows his stuff be honest with him you will get much more then you think.
    Nice Greg

At the end of the day, you don't want to have ANY concerns with BRP's 7 year warranty coverage. That objective drives the project, everything else is in second place IMO.

Can you add an epoxy torque tab ..... yes
Can you BajaBlockerBag the side water inlets ..... yes
Can you raise the motor up high enough to only get 15psi on the ECU .....yes
Can you re-profile the angle of the top two nose inlets to draw more water ....... yes

None of these will have any effect on factory warranty coverage.

Can you tap the top two nose inlets and add hex screws ......... probably not, as the dealer would see the threads when the screws were backed out and removed and that would put them in a bind potentially with BRP, which is understandable.

You know whipper, the foil is worth some thought.

It would be interesting to measure how wide the anti-ventilation plate is on a factory Sportmaster as compared to the anti-ventilation plate on the BRP Magnum 2.
