I have to say that I like the G1 better than the 2. The 2 looks like some kind of Transformer robot. What length mid was the 300 previously on here?

I got such a hassel from Markel to insure this boat, when I first called, thay said they didnt insure 21' boats going over 100mph, after a lot of phone calls, I finally got it insured, just curious has anyone recently insured any 21 ? Now im debateing them because there charging me the 100mph preimium, its imposible for the Tuff to go that fast with a 300 G1, Id like speak with a underwriter, but there unapproachable............I quess they know something that this whole board doesnt know, I want them to rig this boat!!!

I would love to see BRP actually allow customizing the look of the G2 and make outer panels that look like an outboard and not some child toy.
I bet they would see more repower sales, but maybe that is not their desired market.

What they said when they introduced the motor was that wanted a distinctive look. They got it love or hate you know it's a BRP.

I wonder how many sales are lost to the look. The technology inside is spectacular but may be different enough that the outside look kills a sale. I am not financially able to buy one but the look 100% eliminates future interest in buying a used one.
Once outside of warrantee we may see some performance rebuilds making impressive power since for the first time both sides of a V6 can have a balanced flow.

Reminds me of when Bangle got a hold of the 7 series BMW's and ended up "Banglelizing" the rear of the car. If I'm BRP I would at least change the vertical lettering over to horizontal as a minor visual improvement.

Sounds like Markel should be replaced with a different company. Ask Markel if they will provide "stated value" on your package btw. If not, others will.

11lbs is normal to heavy. Bralle, voltphreaks (who I have been using for 5 years flawlessly) and a few others make amazing lithium batteries. The battery I have been using is the voltphreaks vpr-6, it has an electronic battery switch both at the dash and on the battery. Never an issue in 5 years. Not easy on the wallet, but weighs 5.1 lbs and has 900 cranking amps.

That switch can be a key thing since some of these batteries are very sensitive to over discharge. Braille have been known to be quite sensitive and in one customers race car the battery died between track sessions from the fan being left running. Battery did not accept a recharge. That was two summers back.

It is impressive to see 2 pound batteries starting engines now.
