Could just surprise you Johnno, might do a diesel version, 20 HP, 1250 RPM, it may run the whole season if it's only the auxiliary ?

Yes, that's genuine bubbly, me and my youngest at the start of the Bar-B-Que, huge success, pool about 85, I stayed in playing volleyball for about an hour before I had to call it a day.
Trouble is, when you get a day like this with wall to wall sunshine and a bunch of people you love to bits, nobody wants it to end, so it was bloody late before the last one headed for home.

Sam is going to see what she can do about shipping all the toys to Tavares----I will be a lot happier when I know, Rich, Roger, Mark R., Johnno, John S., Briggsie, and more will get the gear I said I would do!

All in all, not a lot more I could have done last week, forces more powerful than me called the shots, I just went with the flow. Reminds me of the polar bear story--------Daddy, are you sure I'm a polar bear? Yes my son, you are a true polor bear! Why do you ask? Because I'm so fecking cold!

Finally got the workshop the way I like it, clean and tidy with everything in its correct place. Took me four or five hours. Even brushed all the cobwebs away. I must have the largest colony of septimus spiders in the UK!

More ramblings tomorrow, night and God bless, MYGGWY.J.

Morning has broken! Good name for a song don'tcha think?
Looks like our mini summer is over, temps set to go down to mid 60/s and heavy rain all afternoon.

Got an idea for making a "Dinky" toy sized wing, cogitating how to construct the motor, billet of aluminium appears to be the way to go, yes, I do have a good reason for doing this.

First job job today is to finish off all the golf trophies and pack them in the coffin! Then finish off the sailboats, then I can concentrate on the new project!

Jilly's taking Matt and the kids Go-Karting at Brooklands today, I'm tempted, but I know I could get carried away and the last thing I want on my epitaph is "Dropped a clanger while playing with kids".Still, there are some daft epitaphs, ie; Spike Milligan---TOLD YOU I WAS BLOODY ILL..

Enough of all this doom and gloom crap! As Scarlet said " Today is another day--------or was it Tomorrow " I forget.
Have a great one anyway my friends, talk to you later, I much prefer S&F to Facebook, any day of the week, better class of idiot here!

Never did get a chance to open the iPad-----was in the shop all day making a midget wing, well, less than half the size of anything I've ever done before. Boats not too much of a problem, it's the damned propulsion unit. In the end I made a "concept" up and downer------not a Rotory! Or a horizontal two or four stroke, a genuine up and downer------in line five. So work that bugger out between you. Has an oversize bottom end to accommodate all that extra power ?
475hp @ 12500 RPM from 2000cc, weighs in at under 275lbs. (Of course it had to be two litres, the ideal formula). Nearly finished one complete motor, clever bit is to make another as close to the same as I can!
You can train a monkey to make a motor, but is he smart enough to make TWO?

Shant be playing volleyball again in the near future-------hands, wrists, shoulder and arms ache like hell, why do I do it? Stick to the iPad and the index finger for exercise !
Off to see a falconry exhibition tomorrow, send you some piccies if it's any good!

Bye de bye time so sweet dreams all, MYGGWY.J.

Chucking it down with rain-----met office got it wrong again!

Thought the Athritis was playing up something rotten, hand and joints swollen and hurting like buggery-----then I remembered trying to stop a forehand smash whilst playing pool volleyball and bending all four fingers backwards! 'Twas a bit painful at the time, but it's settled down to a dull throb with fingers like pork sausages.

Ray Bulman (Powerboat correspondent and race reporter) has resurfaced along with Mike Bellamy!
Now if there ever was anyone who should write a book on the subject-----it's those two----Ray knew his boats and drivers in all sections of the sport-----Mike was ever the innovator, inventor, rule stretcher and UIM commissioner and official boat measurer. He figured out how to win the London---Monte Carlo race, and did just that with Ralph Hilton, Eddie Chater and Jim ?
Neither of them did much in the USA but they hold a font of knowledge about the rest of the world which needs putting down on paper before it's too late! They both must be pushing eighty.

I really must must stop telling Granny how to suck eggs !

Cracked on with the "Midget wing", should have it finished by noon Wednesday.
Managed to make up a pair of near identical motors and gear cases and get them finished and polished, that's about as tiny as I my capabilities will allow. Have to wear glasses to see properly when I get to doing Titchy work.
I do wear specs at all time when I'm in the shop, tell myself it's for eye protection but I find I can see better if I use 2:5 lenses seem to suit me best-----buy 'em at the local store $5 for five pairs!
    Specsavers can't touch that price!

See that Jenkins reached 75 today, really liked his dad, he often drove up to my shop for parts in the early days. Once swopped a piano for a 100hp Merc when Roger had his music shop, he put it on the back of a 16'Levi, called it "GUITAR MAN".

Its tomorrow we go see the Eagles and Falcons performing, just got the days mixed up, sorry' bout your bad luck.
Shattered for no particular reason but don't need any wise ASSE comments about it being my Age.
    '-------night all, MYGGWY.J.

, MYGGWY.J.[/QUOTE] Hya Jackie it was my pleasure to meet up with Rodger Jenkins and his wife Denise at the recent Bristol reunion and to say that he had major heart surgery many years ago much like you had youself he is wearing very well indeed. And i remember his dad very well I had the pleasure of his company on a trip to the Rouen 24hr race many years ago` you mentioned his old 16" levi boat GUITAR MAN I think it was the same boat I bought new from Merryfield in 1968 I had some good races against you and Rossi in that same boat.

Don always loved his 16' Levi "GAWD--L--PUS" and was probably the best driver of the Marque.
I drove as co driver with Don all over Europe, we won damn near everything we entered, but I never liked the boat, especially after I submarined it in Paris .

Hiya Phil.thought you'd gone undercover or retired to IBIZA,
Everything I have ever done has been an "original" so sticking a sign on it don't make it any more or less desirable. Sometimes, if I can remember, I get the vibrator out and scratch the dates on the piece and Stick an initial there for good measure.
Guess I'm just a cheapskate at heart.
