they are actually custom made for the channel, far larger than the stuff that goes out to the reef and several hold world records like the Blue Riband and Hales trophy

You actually on their pay roll Pilgrim? Or do you just promote all things OZ?
Crossing is four hours by fast cat and eight by conventional ferry that's the up side. downside is lousy food and untidy conditions, noisy and smelly and very expensive. What else can I tell you.

Got an update on the two new Americas cup contenders! The sponsors for "HARSOUL" are as follows-----
Hooters
Apple
Rolex
Sainsburys
Orange
Unilever
Liberty
Now that's an impressive list of sponsors -----but look at the first letter of each one, that's where Donald Trump got the name from.
imagine Heluv A. Gutsake must have had the same idea looking down the sponsors of "PISTOFF"
Pepsi
Isis
Seiko
Tag Huere
Olivetti
Fedex
Frontline
Should have the first sneak pre-view by Wednesday or Thursday ---will definitely "Keep You In The Loop"
Watch this space, news is hot here, it could catch fire!!!
Its no good peeps need matchsticks to say awake, nighty night, MYGGWY.J

4am and time to rise, Jilly brought me up a cup of tea and me first pill of the day.
We leave at 5am----30 minutes to Portsmouth and on to the fast cat ( Aussie or not).
let you know what's happening around noon. Don't suppose there will be internet connections on the cat unless you want to give 'em an arm and a leg!
Weather warm but overcast, should be a smooth crossing.
Bon Continuation pour Le Weekend, parlez avec vous plutard, I'm sure you'll work it out! J.
Forgot to hit the "Post quick reply" button, sorry 'bout that, we're halfway across the channel at the minute, flat calm, free wi fi, Jilly by my side, what more can a man ask?
Today is Father's Day also the longest day, the shortest night and midsummer day all rolled into one, you don't get many of those in a box of Chocolates these days.!

Good morning people everywhere, good to be alive, had a wonderful two days with my friends Tiny and Leo in the magical port of Honfleur. For those of you who have never been there, look it up on the dot dot, put it on your " to do" list, I promise , you will love it. It chucked it down the whole time, but frankly my dears, I didn't give a damn.
Yes, the fast cat was Australian as was proved when it had a technical problem and slowed somewhat to crabbing its way across the channel making everyone reach for the " Puke" bags.
Believe it carries 1,000passengers and 500 cars on a good day, ugly as a stack of assholes on a mud fence as my friend Pruitt used to say, but functional !
Got to bed late and was too tired to text last night, will give you all a rundown of events lunch time
enjoy your day, make it last!J.

"Pistoff" taking shape, should be more advanced in a couple of days!
Its the Goodwood Festival Of Speed this weekend, today is press day and big knobs coming in every five minutes.
A new Gulfstream was just escorted in by the resident Spitfire at rooftop height , probably the king of Spain, Siam, or Saudi Arabia or maybe Beckham, Bowie or just Lewis Hamilton, everyone's rich as Rockerfellar these days?.
was in the shop by 7:30am but by 12:00 I'd had enough for the day. Got stuck into the rag, steel and stick " Concept" , made some progress, but got a stiff neck for my efforts.
I wondered the same thing Stavros! Just what I would have to make for the same effect elsewhere!

I have been been fortunate to meet some wonderful people in my life, there's three of them , Jilly, Tiny and Leo.
Trying to give you some idea of the town of Honfleur, probably one of the most beautiful Port/Harbours in the world today, certainly one of the oldest! I saw one of the grandest " Sea Food Platters" of all time, mind you, at $120, it ought to be!

Watched the local news on TV tonight (Southern) Ben Ainslie, a six time Olympic medalist and England's most revered sailor since Nelson has managed to raise £ 80,000,000 to build one of the space age four legged carbon composite concepts to compete in the Americas cup in two years time.
Now that's a heluva thing to even say, let alone DO!
Now is it only me that thinks that money has gone mad? Race cars at ten million, drivers at another ten, Footballers on a million a month, with helicopters to take them to watch the race horse they just bought.
Just where the hell did I go wrong? Was my sainted mother right or wrong when she told me, you don't get it until you can pay for it!
Back to to the shop, got a couple of hours in this morning and shaped up the three hulls for "Harsoul" did the four legs and the deck--------be well into next week before they come to life.
Have to charge $500 apiece for each of the Americas Cup Concepts, have a lady in San Diego who is after one already. She wanted the Roller 'till I told her it was already spoken for.

Have you seen the staff who are currently employed at BAR (BEN AINSLIE RACING)?,
Adrian Newey, best ever Formula one car designer!
Martin Whitmarsh, McLaren racing boss for years!
The "Bar" facility in the docks at Portsmouth is a mind blower and looks like it means business.
Doubt very much there would be room for one of my four legged concepts either in the lobby or the board room Pilgrim, these guys are for REAL----no room for "Bodgers".
