Well they did you proud, heroes to a man. In spite of a lenient ref. Now you have to learn the sneaky side of soccer. Schweinsteiger is a master of the art of deception and sneakology.
you need Beckham to get his stadium and teach you the finer arts, once you have that the game will snowball. USA has talent, but that on its own is not enough, you have to learn the darker side to progress on the world stage. They have to go to the Steiger school of acting and learn how to duck and dive and scream foul when they were never touched, it's all part of today's game and you're still babes in swathling bands.
Im glad your through to the next level, good luck. Bloody well done!!!

    On our cruise to Norway
When we got back to our cabin each evening, this is the kind of thing the Balinese "State room" attendant did for us.
They're not called cabins any more (not posh). Just to get away from the beautiful game for a while.
Went to the car boot sale this morning, got some beautiful Admiralty coastal charts still in the printers tube for a tenner.
Had one of my mad fits and bought a single phase monster double ended grinder ( I need another grinder like I need a hole in my left elbow )
" Max the watch" took a couple of links out of the chronograph watch strap Sam bought me for Father's Day, spent a couple of hours haggling with a few of the stallholders.
Spent the day cleaning the grinder and recabling it.
Never did get around to producing anything worthwhile . Pays to have a lazy day sometimes.
So, not a lot I can tell you, time for the sandman, MYGGWY,J.

Another day , another dollar, need it to stay fine today, promised an old family friend I would sand down and oil her patio teak table-----it seats 16 and is in dire need of some TLC, has not been treated since God knows when. Will take a couple of pics and show you the " before and after" bit.
7am and the gifts are ticking, have to use them while I can.

Was the first day of the Goodwood Festival Of Speed today.
Chichester was gridlocked, every lane and road in 10 mile radius was at a standstill.
The sky was full of choppers and light aircraft, with the Red Arrows buzzing around for good measure.
Every race car driver, motor cyclist, football player and jockey has a chopper these days, ranging from Jetrangers , Eurocopters, Hueys, Gazelle, Sikorsky to Robinsons and Enstroms all makes in between, with prices ranging from $150,000 to five mill +.
They all gather at Goodwood the last weekend in June, we locals try not to leave the house, even the local watering hole is packed to the ceiling with "Hooray Henry's".
It finishes Sunday, but until then total chaos reigns, deigned to give it a miss this year. Will watch it on TV .

Pictures are all arse about face
    Number1 is after.
    Number 2 is before
    Number3 is during.
Did it for the widow of my old golfing friend Martin Wills, had many a long summers dinner round that table, accompanied by many bottles of wine, his favourite was Chateauneuf Du Pape which is the next village to where I used to live in Provence.
My village was Chateauneuf De Gadagne, there was no cartel in my village, the wine was less than half the price of Pape, and only an expert sommelier could tell the difference. But I'm rambling again, back to the table.
Made of teak and covered with a wine coloured glossy varnish many years ago which had seen better days. Took an 80 grit ceramic disc to clean all the crap off and finished it ready for oiling with 320. That way it didn't suck like a Parisian wh---
musn't talk like that, I'll get drummed out of the brownies. Anyway it went down real smooth and I only had time to stick one coat on as it was way past "drinky Poo" time. Close on 7pm and I was getting chronic withdrawal symptoms
Back home and in the saddle again tomorrow, sleep well, MYGGWY. J.

Phil, I've slept since then. Nothing opens on a Wednesday -? So where you been staying?---Thursday is Peasants day, and Friday is the first day of Goodwood proper .
I'm in for the whole weekend---it's manic out on the streets---you're just gonna have to settle for a cold beer outa the fridge.
Mobile is 078 2626 7733, but I'm crap with a mobile. The damn thing always needs charging, or is on charge, or I left it somewhere, or I don't hear it, or it's gone to vibrate and I think my luck has changed. Take a chance, call me. I THINK THATS MY NUMBER, I did get a call from Sam on it for my birthday last January, it's pay as you go and £10 lasts me for a year.

    Hiya, tinkerbelle.

Used to go to the 24hour lawn mower races that were held in Wisborough Green, in the early days there were just two classes . Pushers and ride ons, would take the camper and the Barbie , great fun. It's down to a 12 hour event these days. The event moved to Brinsbury Agricultural College, but I kinda lost track of the event
