thanks, i tinkered around alot and the set up im running works good for drag racing, im running ten inches of setback, and a cle gearcase 5/8 inch below the pad, im sure i could get more top end out of it, but this set up gives me the best of both worlds, with the limited hp im runnin it seems to work well.

Venus,
I think that's a good prop. I heard also that mazco re4 and SRX do their job very well.
All you need is a chopper with lots of bowlift. Setback is trying because maybe yours is lighter or heavier but 10 would be a good start. Engine height is also testing what you boat likes the most.
Good luck

lwp and nosecone could only help, and some sort of conned case and lwp is really a must....go with what ya got....
i use a 26p mazco re-4, turn it 7200 for about 86-88 mph....as for prop selection, i cant really say, i know that before i modded my boat i was basically limited to only running big ear props, it was the only way i could get enough bow lift....the 26 big ear should be a good prop for your boat...Wile E. this is what I'm running on mine now14.5 29p at about 6100 rpms I think I so far got the boat to 91.5 mph and it still had more but had to slow down cause I was loosing water pressure. I need low water pickups if I want to go any faster.

I'll let you know, I have the whole boat apart, but I think its 6" . With that heavy motor it runs good like it is. The 4 blade gives me good bite out of the hole and its also good on the top end. My 28 big ear chopper just turned the motor against the rev limiter and wasnt so great out of the hole esprcially with weight in the boat. I also had a custom 33 gallon fuel tank built for it so it ads alot of weight to the back.
