If you read the thread you will see that he got this for that price because I was being nice and trying to help him out, not because TN is a 3rd world country
. Retail on 6 sleeves with no labor is $720 and the $250 is about a 1/6 of what I normally charge for that work. Sometimes you do what you have to do to make things right.
You need to get out and travel the world. you are not the only places with expensive housing. I see 3 houses nested on top of a mountain that are well over $800,000 each every time I walk out of my front door and that doesn't include what I see when I walk around to my backyard.James Perry

So that makes you better than us here in TN due to the fact a $800K house there is a shack and a $800K house here is a 5,000 square foot immaculate house with a beautiful view and 10 acres of land so there is plenty of peace and quiet? Yep, that sound like the better place to live, crowded and living in a shack.
What is really offensive is that your making it out that the higher cost of things in CA means you are better than us here in TN????? You have already proved your ignorance on the cost of machine work and what is involved by thinking that $250 was the normal price for all the machine work done to this engine simply basing it on my location and they fact you didn't read the whole thread. Most shops around here charge around $400 per sleeve but I am cheap at $225 because I make my own sleeves. I bet the shops in your area are close to that.
I was in Ontario CA for work earlier this year and drove down to Huntington Beach to finally met a guy I have sponsored in COR racing for 4 years and I also met one of the other drivers. I'm glad I did or I would have thought all Californians were dicks.....
Just remember to tell GOD how much your house cost as that will be high on his list!James Perry

I wrote a dozen different paragraph's over the last week or so . I have just come to the conclusion that there are no words good enough to express the losing a loved one before their time.
James I was thinking of you the other night when I turned down a sleeve with the set of mandrel's you inspired me build .

Thank you, that means a lot to me. I think of him everyday. I have a voice mail that I listen to and it tears me up each time I hear it. I know it will get better with time and I will
see him again one day.
I thought of you the other day. I saw your spanner nut tool and thought about writing a program to cut out the pieces but is a lot of metal. I think I could do the factory style a little cheaper so you can sell them for $20But would have to be welded in 3 places and would have the correct ID tube for the fat shaft. I had to modify mine for the fat shaft
.

Seems like whenever I need my ground wire hooked back up , an old family album or two show up on my desk . Helps me remember whats really important in life .
Hey , as long as a 240 pounder can stand on the handle , whilst I hit the body with my baby sledge , more than once , then yep , I think we can get 20 bucks for em ...

James,
We could also use a Mercury Pinion nut adapter tool made from steel not the cheap aluminum ones the dealer sell and eggs out after a couple of cases.
