it was just too windy to really stay in it fighting the wind on a pad is not fun, but I will say so far the hc 6355 is so much better than the hc5345 seastar steering next Ill try the latham front mount, this all new to me I wonder about that little nut and bolt on the tiller arm

At the speed and torque your running, would not trust one bolt and tiller arm,I never did side ram is much safer, and would eliminate a lot of the chine walk and driving problems you have discussed.JMO

Thats the nice thing about the latham front mount...2 bolts thru the tiller arm....i think its alot safer than seastar with one bolt....

also i spoke with someone at the ramp today his opioin was to but the back seat in, his experience was with the back seat, his boat became more controlable, any minor thing you touch with the Tuff has a major impact, so there my be something there the back seat has to go back in because I wont be running it with out it now is a good a time as any to put it in

Race hatch even more control again. The air runs over the windscreen and down into the cock pit. The more you can improve the flow of air {out} of the cockpit the better and faster at speed. Thats why real fast boats have no cockpit area. the fast ones have aerodynamics built into them like the XR2002 for instance. The seats slop out of the cockpit no straight walls for the air to catch. They are probably the fastest open smaller Vee hull in the 20ft range at 135 mph. Hear are some great obvious examples of that. Your buddys red 300X 21 thats 100mph with race hatch Ill bet makes a big difference.

That was the purpose of those bags! Move the weight around to see how it handles, then adjust rigging accordingly

yep easier to test with portable weight than rigging to find out after holes it doesn't work.
