I guess its going to take seat time to get used to the new power. 95 would be awesome as that would be as fast as the center steer Biel with a 225.
I spent 30-40 minutes on the phone with Bob Kottman today. I was a little worried as I have heard he can be cranky but he was great. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
Everything is looking good for building next weekend. Ultrfast (Don) agreed to look over my shoulder and make sure I righty tighty all the bolts and install the pistons in the correct holes. Don, if your reading this, clear the schedule.13' Biel tunnel AKA "Flight Risk"

What is the PRACITCAL hull speed on this 13' hull??? at some point it's going to want to fly, not trying to be negative but when I was runnin my MAGNUM MISSLE w/a 2.5 offshore merc 16' boat, which was designed to go 60's, w/a I-6 1500xs, at 70mph-75mph no problem-then 75-85 mph the boat started talking to me, when I got to 90mph it was a handfull and only on a perfect day would I push my luck, it was exciting and scarry at the same time knowing there history...just be careful and use common sence and don't let the #95 bring you down...." I think the boat will be safer on typical days when I am running with a group at 80mph as I will be able to do it with a lot less trim. Now, letting it all hang out will be adventure and ist something that I will sneak up on a little at a time.
Having said that, this boat really drives like a much bigger boat. Its not light (500 pound hull) and the short tunnel may actually make it less prone to flight. If it had sponsons pickle forks like a typical tunnel it would measure longer but really be no bigger.
Ive been hurt pretty bad doing various things and am a little older, wiser, and beat up these days.13' Biel tunnel AKA "Flight Risk"

Just got off the phone with Falicon and my rotating assembly should be done today. There have been some issues with the rotating assembly (all at my end) and Falicon has been FANTASTIC to deal with. I have been working with Sean up there and he has been extremely helpful and patient. Great customer service. Cant wait to see the crank.

Did you have 38 or 40 on the bike? The carbs on your boat are 42mm throttle plates now obviously with different venturi sizing available.
It would be an interesting machining to make a suitable manifold for the carb spacing. The height of the carbs might be an issue but the spacing could be closed up a bit to get a decent flow path to the reeds.
I started machining a set of throttle bodies that would bolt on to convert to injection. No reason they could not be made with 44mm plates in them.Regards,
Charlie North
If it ain't broke, modify it.

I had a tuned V4 yamaha, later we looked into using a 225 v6 block front half and cut it to get horisontal reeds and better flow.
