Hey SKIALOT I did some Black Friday shopping

Picked up more merc scrap on Black Friday 11/29
CR set of 135hp with nice cowls, stainless swivels and Seastar rams
one of the 135s has a hole in the block…
    plus a 125hp…all for about 400

Now I just gotta figure out how and where to put these getting them off the trailer with all the other Merc junk I have around here !

Nice haul. Talk about coincidence. About 6 weeks ago I picked up a pair of 135's Not counter rotating but both run good for $300. And 2 weeks ago I picked up a 125 with good compression but the battery cables were connected backwards. $150Click image for larger version.

Thanks for the offer, but too big and heavy for what I had in mind. Is it one of those "ran great until one cylinder blew" engines?

With new wheel bearing, tires, and a temporary brace for the crossmember we might be able to tow that boat home...

Thats funny we probably look at a lot of the same engines on Marketplace...these appealed to me because of the price...to cheap to pass up...and I plan to sell the Seastar rams for a couple hundred so I basically got everything for free

Let me know if any of u guys have ideas to make a "towable" engine stand cuz I have to get bunch of these engine outside (and maybe to the shed) but my driveway and driveway extension is crushed stone and grass so the casters that work well in my cement garage get stuck even on the garage to driveway threshold so they dont get far

I recently bought 3 Yammy OX66's on the cheap for parts. Similar situation to yours, plenty of storage in the basement but gravel in the yard. Separated everything as it's much easier to move around with a hand truck and easier to store. Added bonus is you can scrap the junk after you go thru everything. Just my $.02

If you make a stand with casters like these, you should be able to push it across your stone driveway or lawn.

Get a small, old boat trailer with no paperwork for a good price and weld a couple of racks on it.

In theory they will work because i spent most of last Sunday building a stand using these wheels and they still got tripped up on the garage to driveway threshold and i had to jockey it 50 feet to the grass

I think I have an idea for a custom "tongue" to bolt onto an existing wood stand and tow with the tractor in and out of the garage area and possibly to the shed up the hill...well see if that works haha

Merry Christmas. I bought myself a Christmas present. I got a 1998 Mercury 200 EFI. It was advertised as "Mercury 200 Hp Lower unit. Mercury 200HP lower unit 25" shaft. Bought new 1 year ago. Must take whole motor. I don't know anything about the powerhead. I bought it for the lower unit. $800". Click image for larger version.

I could see the VST in the picture. So I knew it was an EFI. I messaged him and said I was interested in the rest of the motor. I told him I would take the lower unit off and give him $200 for the rest of the motor. I would leave him the lower unit. He said for $300 I could take the whole thing. So, I bought it. ID:	538851 As we are loading it up, he tells me the powerhead is good. They just repowered the boat. But it has been sitting outside uncovered and it's frozen. Then he tells me they changed the ECM because they thought it was bad. But it ended up being the fuel pump. So, he gave me the old ECM also Click image for larger version.

ID:	538853 It should be worth rebuilding. If it's really just stuck from sitting outside uncovered, I should be able to take it apart and rebuild it without too much trouble.
