What did you have to modify on the shift shaft?
I thought that would be a drop in

I used the 150 shift shaft. Not sure why they did it but the spline was off. Would not line up in neutral. I put it in my lathe and twisted it a little.

Yes. Been testing props. 24 fury is fun. Ran a lil over 80. The 28 bravo is slow to plane but after that it pulls hard to 87. Going to put about 20 hours on it then work on a stand alone pcu with a wide band O2 sensor. The stock system does not like prop ventilation.

I read somewhere it is a 4.8" sporty. But now I cannot find where I read that.

5.44 is big. Probably too big for small v bottom boats

The large gearcase and the speed control stuff while surfacing a prop in a single application I hear is not super ideal or fun to drive. If I ever go 300r I will have a Motec on it for sure.

I didn’t know “Speed Control” was a thing until I read your post and looked it up. Damnit. No reason for that to be on an R motor. Or there at least needs to be a way to turn it off. That last thing you want in a small pad v is the computer changing the throttle position without driver input. Ugh

Wait, so not only does the 200R have the big 5.44" gearcase, it also has a computer that restricts and changes throttle like a robot?

There are 3 different gearcases available on the 300R. The Sportmaster, the Torquemaster and the larger 5.44HD. The Sportmaster and Torquemaster are not 5.44" diameter.

The Sporty is 5.44", the torquemaster is narrower.

So on the V6 you can choose at time of order what gearcase you want with a 200R ?

You can get the 5.44" Sporty with a torque tab, or you can get the Torquemaster which has less diameter (probably bigger than 4.75") and water inlets on the top of the bullet as well as the side.
