So I waited 4 years for a 500-mile cybertruck, for $80,000, turned into $125,000 foundation edition.

The 500-mile range is now 300, the main reason I wanted it was the 500 mile range, my brother has had an S for 6 years and it has more range and you better plan your trip it you go off the main roads, it's gotten better, but 500 mile range gets ride of range anxiety.


His biggest SCAM he has been charging up to $10,000 per vehicle, for self-driving that has NEVER APPEARED, the should get a class action suit against him,

When I was working for an auto parts company that supplied the Model 3 (and later Y), Tesla's launch plans were more fantasy then reality. Normal car companies have a launch plan and stick to it. They start slow and ramp up to full production on schedule. Tesla was not like that at all.

The engineer at Tesla that we worked with said that Mr Musk set 'stretch' goals rather than firm goals. I see the 500 mile range Cybertruck as a stretch goal. Did you get your deposit back?

LOL, my former employer started discounting Mr Musk's production targets, and then had to scramble when Tesla really did start making their forecast numbers. I can remember thinking that it was impossible for Tesla to make 500,000 cars a year at their Freemont factory. Toyota never got close to that when they owned the facility, and no one was better at auto production than Toyota. Tesla made 560,000 cars at Freemont last year.

There is still much to admire about Tesla, but I fear Tesla is putting all their marbles in the autonomous basket, and it won't go well for them.

If there is a person on earth who could tackle a "project" of this magnitude and break it down into "solvable" sub-parts and​ task the right people with developing solutions... it's Elon Musk. He's making Boeing & NASA look like the monkeys they used to shoot into space!
