I was at Merc's Plant 4 when these hit the street - Our QC area maintained a duplicate drawing file and got blackline (copy-able) drawings of everything. I drooled over these parts drawings when they showed up - we made the propshaft, con rods, heat treating, and a few other parts for the motor. And I remember a few years later when things like the driveshaft housings and exhaust covers got dumped in our aluminum remelt scrap bins -
