Here is the #99 UIM SE Class Clerici/Evinrude 65ss at the Stockholm Boat Show early 1974.

A Swedish success, “propped into racing” by a Norwegian 1973

5,000 MILE SOLO TRIP, MIAMI TO MIAMI 1959
Ann Davison Billheimer planning to begin a 2 month 5,000 mile trip in a 17ft boat with two 18 horsepower Evinrude engines at the Santana Marina in Coconut Grove in June of 1959.
Her plan was to cruise the inland waterway to New York, through part of the Great Lakes then down the Mississippi River and across the Gulf of Mexico. She actually departed in August and because of bad weather did not arrive back in Miami until 5 months later.

Chastain, is also, a major marketing promoter of eating WATERMELON.

Boat Racing could use an innovating Driver with a new & unusual Victory Celebration to attract National News coverage.

    Topless

I’m kinda glad that’s not prevalent in the US. I think it would take away the allure after a while and make something glamorous commonplace, ruining the attraction of it.

    IMO

UIM F1 boat racing is back in France this weekend. ( MÂCON)
Back in the seventies and eighties France was a great country for tunnel boat racing. Probably more International races in France than any other European country.
Famous races like Paris 6 hours and Rouen 24 hours.
The picture is from the F1-V8 race in Lyon, France 1983.

I did a list with my boat racing history with France below..

    Paris Eiffel tower:
    OE/F3 class 1973, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78 Formula 1 V6, OE/F3 class 79,1980, 81, 82 and 86
    Lyon:
    F1-V8 1983
    Paris Bois de Boulonge:
    F1-V8 1984
    Evian:
UIM SE class 1974 and OE/F3 class 1979
    Rouen:
    UIM SE class 1975
    Aix les Bains:
    OE/F3 class 1975
    Vishy:
    OE/F3 class 1981 and 1982
    Paris Epinay:
    OE-F3 class 1990
