Spencer ran this boat in 1974 & 1975. From my memory he was virtually unbeatable and I think won both the Canadian Nationals and the Canadian High-Point Championships in 1974. Can't remember much about 1975 as I was busy with university.

Didn't anyone notice the motor revving much higher than everybody else. Were props available to deal with that gear ratio on that motor?

I remember a JP racer who confessed at the end of the 1984 season to running a 2.3 case on his 150XS, said it pulled out of the corner better and no one ever bothered to check it.

I believe he propped up, not sure, but it was good enough he ran it all season.

Thanks Fujimo. I was lucky enough to be around in 1974 and saw this boat run (and win) many times...and enjoyed every minute of it !!
