    These actually flew with early omc v4 power, I remeber seeing one at the sun n fun fly in lakeland, it had a 33c cable for tail rotor control lol..

    ...i don't know...good question. evinrude's been buried about four different times throughout their history. they are like those little birthday cake candles that you can't blow out. should we even bother? i don't think you can compare the monstrous amount of really bad financial & marketing & engineering mistakes OMC made over the decades, to BRP's single attempt to bring back the brand. apples and oranges.

    It`s strange that nowhere in that video did they mention anything about the German engineered Ficht fuel injection system. We all know it was the final nail but if you don`t then go to Wikipedia and look it up. At first it made OMC a pile of money but then they said that later on "Rods exploding out of the engine block" put an end to that.

    yet all old outboards are OMC's, they must have got something right
