You are correct it did not..the fixed wing was kind of useless. I tried one also F1 & F3..you can see the brackets on my pickle forks..
..but gave you lots of attention in the pit..

My #1 F-3 Burgess/Evinrude CC with the fixed wing in the front.
Perfect to promote my Evinrude dealership with a sticker but took the wing off before the race.

A better-closer picture of Renato Molinari´s brutal OZ class tunnel boat..
The #165 was an extremely expensive aluminum
    Molinari/Martini/Evinrude V8 boat he raced 1982.
    Renato tested wings also

Honestly, the problem lies in the fact that its just plain an unbalanced package... The real solution would be a bigger boat. That just never was going to happen though, in those days.

Well..the OMC racing V8 came out 1981 and it took around two years/seasons to figure out the way to build the boats for the extra power/weight. The six inch mid section 1985 help a lot and the boats handle the F1-V8 engine perfect.
Ben Robertson in the #57 and Cees van der Velden #1.

Lower center of gravity = no wings
