The first M31 w/ 860s has run a much better # than that so far - 146. Not even close to the 158 my 30 ran with 800s in it, but it is a much heavier "pleasure set-up" boat than my 30 w/ Sterlings/Arnesons was. Those 860s are a sweet setup, and I bet they're close to 900HP at the crank.

I told Doug that it would be a home run to get the new 44 footer to run 145 with 860s. He laughed and said it better be faster then that....

Please update on top speed when it gets dialed in. I have same boat. 2007 model 22ft Daytona. It is a very heavy hull. It was built with single 300xs. I tried raising and lowering motor. at least 10 props. 1.75 and 1.62 lowers. Best ever was 78mph. most days it was a 74mph slug. After 2 years i added a second motor. Now speed is good. but low speed maneuverability sucks. The added weight lifts the front sponsons ust high enough out of the water it seems to be a rear steer boat trying to dock it. but other then that it is a great riding boat. does not notice average boat wakes at speed. no hop at any speed. if a 400r will push it in the 90s. i would consider going back to a single motor.

Eliminator told me they did not have weight of my boat on file. rep i talked to thought it was in the 4000lb range. not sure if this new boat is built the same as mine 10ys ago. i was told my boat was built in the 25ft inboard mold. they placed a dam 3ft forward of transom and built it the same layup as the 25ft inboard model. i guess that is why it feels like a bigger than 22ft boat and takes wakes so well.

The difference in speeds of the 22 Talon and the 22 Eliminator is unbelievable. 78mph for the Daytona and 105mph for the Talon?

Bare hull weight is something like 1200 lb for the talon, 1800 for a 23, and probably well over 2000 lb in the late 22's. The 22 is a deep freeboard rough water hull.

The big question everyone is missing is what it cost? I was told this was a $135k build. Please tell me if I am wrong.
