    HeeHee Roger H..
I know you love boat racing history and the fact is OMC won the very first big V6 meeting in Paris 6 hours 1973..
The headline after Paris 1973 was brutal for Team Mercury....Mercury Annihilated...!!
Johnson/Evinrude first, second, third and fourth..!!
I was at the Paris race 1973.
We must find a way for you to get the first winning V6 for your beautiful #12 Miller boat..Maybe its possible to install the OMC V6 2 liter cross-flow one day on your #12 boat.

    Bristol - Embassy GP 1979

Cees Van der Velden and his Velden Racing/Johnson V6 RS 3 liter, looper fuel injection.
Pretty sure its Ziggy from OMC fueling up his OZ class boat. Maybe Mouse to the far left helping.
    Yes, I was there.

Why was it common to put fuel above the floor and not in sponsons or was that viewed as too hard until they had composite hulls?

This was the weekend in Bristol when Mercury introduced the T4. I don't remember if Johnny Sanders where there or not..The big thing I remember was Jack Leek asked me to get close to Seebold's boat/engine and find out as much info as possible.
Everything was so secret around Mr. Bill's T4 but I told Jack it was 6 small clear hoses from the fuel injection..Remember Jack's response..
    Good.. then its a V6 not a V8.
