How many Rich boat builders are really out there, besides Earl, he knows how to sell em thats for sure. Wouldnt a Velocity 30 with some updates to interior and Twin 400 Verados sell today? If someone put some thought into a deck that would keep everyone happy it would sell
Foxlake, I own one of the few original Checkmate 2800SX Outboards and yes, it's timeless and gets looks everytime it hits the water!! Nick's Velocity will be even more unique with tripple 3 Liter outboards mounted on a custom built bracket, custom built race bolsters, rear bench seat and removable rear race hatch!!

Sorry Its been a while and I forgot to get back to you. My bracket measured 28.5". At full tilt engines are real close to transom. Also pockets were set up for room for the K plains. Center engine mounting area is a couple inches lower then outside engines as this boat has a 26 degree V. I think the Velocity has a 22 degree so this probably wouldn't be necessary. Some pictures included.

    Bingo!

Raise the front deck 3 or 4" so you have a real cabin and you'd have something.

From what I remember the 30 had a pretty nice size cabin. I like the look of that deck compared to what they did with some of there newer boats. In my book the look of the old 22 and 30 were beautiful.

    Agreed.

Have a couple of friends w/30's and the cabins need more headroom to be true weekenders.
As is, one of the best looking vees of all time.
I think a 30' w/a pair of LS series motors would be killer.

Nick, isn't Cocoa Beach next month?
And, some one said you'll be in class w/the 2nd Amendment cat? If so, I worked on that boat and like your odds

Yes sir. May 14. Tick tock!! Lol. I hung the bracket and tabs this weekend. I am waiting for some head studs to wrap up the poweheads. Should make Coco. I won't have much dial in time. If you get a free day come down to West Palm and give me a hand. I'll take any help I can get. Thanks Nick
