Thanks, it's in pretty good shape for a 90, she's solid!

Mom sure it was, it's crazy how stable they are.. That would be awesome to try!

I've never driven one that fast but from what I can recall hearing about them, they tend to get flighty in the upper 90s. The deck creates a vacuum and starts pulling up at the higher speeds. You have to start trimming back down the faster you go as it starts flying.

    Tony's was a 17'

Rex may chime in but im 99% sure the fastest he has gone in one was 98.X

My last one went 91 consistently with a 2.5 200 and worked chopper.

My new one is Kevlar and will be a lot lighter with more power so I remain hopeful....

my last one would lift at 88mph like clockwork, every single time. trim up to get there in a hurry and around 85 start slowly bumping the down trim

Thanks, yea I'm running into that in the high 70's but my motor isn't as high as it could be, when I do the 2.5 I'll work more on set up and buy a hydrolic jack plate too. That Kevlar one is going to be one sweet ride, do you have any pics?

These boats handle the rough water great. Very predictable at high speeds and corner like on rails. It is a super simple hull design, no lifting strakes and it works well. Here's mine.

Nice Lasers, guys. I have always loved these hulls. Almost pulled the trigger on a black one in Wisconsin. That's a long way from SC.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

thanks, my dad was tossing the idea of buying that one too. he bought a 422 sport le brand new in 94, hull has over 2000 hrs and its been an amazing boat for us. its very similar to the 380 but is night and day better in rough water. his is getting a little tired but still solid and in pretty good shape. the only thing we had to do to it is ad some support to the deck, it was pretty loose from the factory. I talked to ron huff a few years ago and he said they only made about 30 of them.
