I know Joey impress was helping you to get that big number before the accident . mabe a few runs with the green yamaha guys will get you back on track. boats are like women some can work it some can't try to stick with the guys that run not the guys that say they can. not trying to offend anyone just trying to help . it's a great boat with a lot of potential no person has ever hit the nail on the head first shoot keep working hard it will pay off. I know your not looking to be top dog . if you are looking for more voiding warrenty is not the answer to going faster . setup is the answer post a video of tach and gps will help the Internet racers help you more . baja200merk knows his stuff be honest with him you will get much more then you think.
thanks for the advise but as far as set up I think we know what were doing, but I do talk with Kevin everyday, this will be the 5th one im setting up, as far as joey maybe at one time everyone that came out of the factory at one time or another you talk about water pressure, its not as simple as raising the motor , theres a fine line with these gear cases, there not sportys were as long as you have water pressure you can raise them to the moon, but being a green guy I dont now if your gear case works the same, all im trying to do is get what the boat and motor is supposed to do, jr is going north of 90 with a 250, yes maybe lighter, but in the same ball park, so my expectations of keeping the motor stock and running 90 ish is not asking too much....

I love the enthusiasm these SOB's generate ! No 2 boats are ever the same...

PS..half the fun is the journey to dial one in.

Are you sure that Tim Hackney's Performer 4 is 14.5" diameter? Not trying to be a wise azz but I thought those were 15" wheels. Quick call down south might help. If it is a 15" diameter wheel, take into consideration that the boys up in Canada know these hulls cold and even with Sporty's are running Bravo 4 blades which are 15 1/4" diameter.

Given the spray pattern of the 6 eye whale M2, you're on the right path to redemption looking at bigger diameter wheels. Maybe start a separate call out thread for 15" or bigger prop options lol.

    Anyone make a 16"

I don't have a 21' Tuff, but a 21' Checkmate Pulsare, not the same but similar enough you would think to react close to different props. Personally I have found the large diameter wheels to work by far the best on mine (15+"), for the top end #. I have tried several Mercury Trophy plus's (13.75" diameter) and they have all been a dismal failure, usually 6-8 mph short of my 15.125" Solas props. I run a Yamaha with a factory lwp HPDI lower unit. Having said that there is many Pulsare's around running big numbers using a Trophy plus, but without exception they are running a Mercury motor, usually with a Sportmaster. Perhaps gearcase profile is more important than we thought when it comes to propeller selection. What other reason would explain why my boat is a dog with a Trophy plus, yet the exact same combination with a Mercury runs great? The propeller doesn't know what brand of horsepower is turning it, but it sure knows how the water is coming around the gearcase.

Ive had 6 or 7 14.5 drag4,s and they are great but kind like the Darg3 better. i feel it hooks up better than the drag4 for what ever reason. i think the blade area on the Drag3 is larger? Pluss the lift is better and top speed is way better. Its actually the best prop I have ever had out of {lots} of everything under the sun. 15 dia+ and dont look back most are saying?

Todd {hydromotive} has done some testing with the larger dia props with unreal success on the green motors. Hes taken some 15 dia OffShore boat props and made them work on these high torque new outboards. Ya might give T Buck a call and see if he something for ya to try? Hes got the 21ft allison Bass Barge 1400lbs+ Hull less motor fully loaded with fishing gear 250xs a much heavier setup that yours running right at around 100 with these props. 99.3 or something like that last time I checked. Granted the gearcase was a SM but even if you gain 3-5 mph thats impressive with the Beluga .

I wouldn't be surprised as an Etec if you run your best with an OMC Raker prop !

Like I said, some guys swear by the Trophy prop. Cannot get one to work on mine so I'm very curious to see your results! Great boat by the way have been following the thread right from the start.
