Just kiddin power ..
Every part on that deal needed to be cut , fitted , cussed at , milled , drilled , welded , surfaced , bored ... and then gently slid together ...

No word on how this setup is working yet? The quiet-camp out here on the West Coast is going to beat you guys to going public on the clocks if you guys don't get that thing out for all to see sometime soon!

West coast ?
Lake Havasu to Long Beach is over 400 miles away ....
I thought me being out here by the horse farms 6 miles from the Atlantic wuz far.. Glad I gotz me a river side da house that runs right out to the deep water ..
The way i understand it, one is a drag boat, tuther is for top speed .. I know the big boss said sumptin bout goin somewhere wiff a safety crew , but the SOB could go hire half our fire dept if he got the notion ..
But then from what i hear , Jasper is the only drag race that matters ... An lawd knowz they gotz some $hizz for that too ...

I do hope the quiet folks show up with a stick mid set-up .. bringing something that emulates whut won last year will be , well , down right flattering ...
It aint no secret .. If you really want to know , just ask .stoker 2001
I heard from a real reliable source that is very close friends with the engine builder that it has serious handleing issues
The boat would float an iron car motor tucked behind the driver just fine. Hang an aluminum outboard off the back , and it wasnt happy . Wally came down and helped sort out the rear sponsons.
In one of the mid section threads , i said the mid came back to the doctor for a few tweaks ...
The boat runs locked steering with a side rudder. The cord length of the lower is greater than 12" The rudder has a cord length of aprox 6" which one ya thinks dominates the steering up untill the boat is skying on the bullet ...
Jack Barsh was down the other day , dont really know in what capacity ... different departments ..
Rick sent down this bare fishin bote to get finished , they are bustin azz on the RGR/DW 28' cat , they were talking about acquiring a T/F operation , the LCB assets , doing a production run of the motor RG has always wanted .
All I know for sure is , they said , old man , make room we gotz lots a work comin your way ... And from lookin at my floor , they aint lyin ..

Well Chaz, I don't know where you get your geographical information from, but if you were to take off from Lake Havasu in an airplane and fly a direct course to Oceanside, you'd be over the Pacific Ocean after traveling 192 miles. Considering it would take a minimum of just over a 1,900 mile flight to get over the Atlantic Ocean if you headed East, well, in my book that is the West Coast. Either way, back to the boats - yes, I agree that one is a drag hydro and the other is a top-speed contender. However, this thread contains several references to quarter mile passes (including estimated ET) as test passes for the top-speed rig before going after the top-speed record. It was also previously posted when the boat was going to get on the clocks, yet nothing was ever posted afterwards. I can understand if you want to keep a project under wraps until it is doing what you want it to, but this project was thrown on a worldwide public forum almost two years ago with not a single performance number posted yet. But thank you for now posting that there are teething problems being addressed. It's fully understandable that it may take some time (even a long time) to get this rig sorted out, as it is a completely new setup. But don't get upset if people question why they haven't heard anything (or heard of problems) when you guys aren't updating the thread that you started. All of us really like the project, and would love to see it work, we'd just like to hear of any progress - good or bad - since it seemed like we were all invited along on this journey going after the Outboard World Record.
