Its in there we filled quite a bit of room and put carson reeds in it. Ran it the other day didnt notice much change but still need to tune mid range. Turning 7400rpm seems to run out of port right around there. We need a bit more timing its still 2* less than factory spec. We jetted it down until 4 stroke stopped and left it alone. Also have a different set of heads we want to try, should make a bit more power with the flat top 3.3 pistons.

Reeds are here (thank you Mr. Carson) and I just finished lapping the cages. They were BAD!!!! Should be running tomorrow.
Weather looks awesome on Sunday for a high speed run if I can get it dialed in.
The first pic was after a LOT of lapping and its still not flat.

I asked Mr. Carson and he said 400. These were really bad so I was using 320 to get some material off and the finish looks real nice. The 320 was probably worn to 600 y the time I had it done! I have always done this wet (water and dish soap) but I tried one dry and it seemed to work better.
Yamaha cages have a very small lip along the bottom edge one one side of the cage you have to grind off before your start lapping.

I said it would run 94mph and it did.

94mph t 7050rpm with 32 x 15 Performance Propeller ET and a set of .106"/2.7mm (#36 index drill) drilled jets. The stock jets were 1.80mm.
The carb mods and new reeds worked awesome. I can not beleive how much fuel this thing is taking and its never 4 stroked.

    Prop calculator show 12% and a 34 x 15 should put me around 96-97mph.

Its probably around 170hp but I am turning it with engine height. My gearcase is 1/2" out of the water. Nothing but skeg....the bullet is dry.

I like these props a lot. Going to have some props for sale soon. I have a 28 and 30 real ET and a 30 drag that need new homes I think. The boat really likes the 15" props.

PS. I totally stoked. 94mph was always in the back of my mind and 95mph kind of a perfect scenario stars aligned downhill with a tail wind dream. I think its going to happen now. Today was on a small lake with NO current and about a 10mph cross wind for the record.
