I remember your boat, It was a very nice original looking ride

James- the higher i raise the motor, and the less trim i give it the more the boat likes it. It definately runs best laid fairly flat and even although it is now february and I havent seen my boat in nearly 2 months forget abouthow long it has been since I drove it, so my memory could be rusty

    Kevlar with Epoxy or Polyester

I need your experience out there,

I have a Seve Step Velocity 22 Kevlar from 1994. What is the most common combination method with Kevlar?

    Is it Epoxy or Polyester?

Anyone who got cantact details to Steve Step?

    Cheers Patrik.

My advice is to call the factory (this phone number is on their website: 407-322-7770) and ask to speak with Kenny or Steve, have your hull identification number ready, and they will be happy to give you a history of your boat. I did it for mine...they told me that my 2004 Velocity220 was laid up with S-glass and vinylester; they also gave me a list of options that were included.

Also I'm gona check with a friend of mine about the hook also being on the pad as well as the chines. Makes sense to me, he had a 1989 with a 4 liter V8 and I think the best he ever got out of it was 80. When I had a stock 4 liter on my 1986, 85 was no problem.
The hook in the pad wasn't visible like on the chines where you could actually see it. Chris said there was a hook in my pad also. That was taken out. It still didn't get on top of the pad anyway. It rode very wet and I never got out of the mid 70's with that boat. It also got water logged quick.

I tried several props when it was new and none really made much difference. I also tried different heights and setbacks. It was a low 70's boat no matter what. Someone from Nevada bought it. It should be dry now. I never heard back from him. I sold it on here and told him it was water logged. It still looked and ran great. Just not fast!

Yeah, I remember your boat being REAL FLEXIBLE on the bottom!! No wonder it didn't ride high. It sure was a good looker though. chris
