HAHAHA I had a choice to make when I was building the boat. Make a custom back seat and have Don Frost cover it to match my front seats, or buy a nice brand new leftover motor, I think I made the right choice!!!

Vnemous- I am not gunning for you, but your boat is running speeds the I have to strive very hard to match, and the boats should be very close by the time the romp comes around. I know your going to put a wooping on me, but I will have a ton of fun driving the hell out of mine to keep up

I am by far not the fastest Challenger around. I bet if the water is just right (not to ruff) you will pull me with that 12" pad. But I would really like to know which hull would be better in some 2' stuff

PS the secret to my speed is my light weight cowl

I definately agree, It is all in that cowl!!!!!!!!!! To run in some 2' stuff I need my dad in the passenger seat and almost a full tank of fuel to keep this thing planted, then I can keep my foot in it

    SM vs TM

    Hello all Velocity freaks.

I am from Sweden and a while ago (2 months) I bought a Velocity 22 here on ScremandFly. The boat was a Steve Step Kevlar from 1994 equipped with a 300x.

The boat is in very good condition and I am very happy to have here in Sweden.

The first thing I did was to sell the 300X and bought a brand new 300XS.

Now I am asking for som advice.

    1. I have read somewhere that a Torgue Master fits the Velocity step hull better than the Sport Master. What is your opinion about this? What will I go for TM or SM?
    2. Which ratio should I go for? 1:62 or 1:75?
    Looking forward to your suggestions.

    Regards Patrik.

Soonest possible I let you see some pics.

Tistronskar- I am sorry I do not have any experience with the setup's that you are referring to otherwise I would try to help you out. A few of the other guys hsould have some good input for you

Highvelocity- THe lightweight might help my speed numbers but I think this is the key to my boats performance

I just browsed through this thread once again and I remember reading how doubtful it is that a v22 could make it in teh 80's with a stock 250 3.0 merc and a sports master case. I am striving to get myselft into the 80's with a stock 225 merc and a fleetmaster case Just to prove a point!!! only 3.2 mph to go and I am there.... I bet if i take my pops out of the boat and run it low on fuel that would be 1/2 the battle to achieving those numbers!!
