Is bullet boats at the goldcoast closed down now have they?? Ive been trying to get hold of there phone number; but i do remember the last time i spoke to them they said that they where having big dramas with yellow pages not putting there adverts in for the past 3 years. So when you said that they were closed do you mean completly or just for the day.
My boat is all stripped down now and i am looking to hve some miner repairs done to the hull and have it coated and trimmed, and was going to get them to do it,

Thank"s again Oz. I rang him up as soon as i got your pm. I told him that i am now going to have a brand new 175hp Mariner on the back now and will be spending most of my time in the upper reaches of the brisbane river (Lots of dog legs and corners) so i need quick steering. He new where i meant; and sets up all of the racers down on the gold coast with there bullets (teleflex seastar HH5774 pro helm 2.0cu-1000psi And a Hynautic k6 alloy steering cyl Square looking type). and has no dramas. I told him of the type you use on yours and he said that you have the best out of all steerings on your boat But he cannot get parts for them no more (all over now) The helms that you need for your setup are obsolete. I was going to get a Evinrude E-tec for my boat; Because mercurys are like bum"s everybodys got one. But when i found out how much the price is for a E-tec and what you get (dont know about not touching it for 3 years) I can see why now everyone uses mercs-mariners.You get more for your dollar and some of the things that come on these motors that are factory compared to evinrudes Not to mention the fuel injection is better. I oppted for a 175hp because of the weight and power is user freindly for- She who must be obeyed. $17500.00 drive in drive out for the mariner and almost $21.000 for the E-tec. Just a question also on my bullet hull- The floor inside of it looks like its been raised up,i am going down the workshop today to get some pics but i can tell you without showing a picture that the floor is level with the 2 top lh and rh drain bungs in the rear and go's threw to the front foot rests, is this Std on some models or has someone had it modified, and if so why .

Hi Mate - no probs on helping out - a phone number and an address was the least I could do

The floor you describe sounds right. there should be a slight angled section on each side just before the side pockets but other than that, flat all the way through. There was an option on older Bullets where you could get a "Dropped Floor" which ran a few inches deeper and allowed the driver to sit lower but most were built the way yours is (as is mine and the other 3 1750's mates have).
