A bunch of guys stayed at the Oneida Inn last year. I didn't hear anything bad. Plus, Paul provided free indoor boat storage overnight at the marina where the race is held. Hope this helps.

Here is part of an email I got from Three Lakes Jim tonight:

The date for the 2009 Shootout has always been “on” and will continue to be “in stone”. By that I mean we will ALWAYS have the Shootout on the weekend before the 4th of July, period! We now own that date here in Three Lakes. Please get your rooms booked as the only thing open to chance from our perspective is the weather, literally.

Schedule wise we are looking forward to getting as many performance boats here on Friday during the day as possible to do a “tour of the lakes”, followed by the static display at Bonnie’s Lakeside, with the Shootout on Saturday. We are revamping a few things (food, parking, invasive species inspections, etc.) but for the most part it will be very similar to last summer.

The next thing I will be able to provide will be this year’s event poster & the new website. I will have both in the next two weeks.

Thanks again, Mark. Please continue to be a positive factor in the Shootout’s success.

Thanks Mark and Chris for letting the "Girly Boat Guy" to come to your manly boat events.....I really do want to see what my boat will do in relationship to the slower streams, but thats just for fun....Jim is a customer of mine for years, I cannot remember his last name for the life of me, but he lives next to my best friends and close to Weasels right? he used to have 2 Highperformance boats, but I cannot remember what, I thought a Ally, but he bought sleds, hot tubs, and pool tables from me, hes older and a big guy right??? anyways guys I just need a used jack plate still, and we can try props up there.......Im still not ruling out that Skeeter Viper thing.....cant wait..
