Help me pick a handgun

I carried a .380 on my bike road trips. Nice little piece, aint gonna stop a charging bear camping the wilds Montana, but might scare it off! But like said, run a couple hundred rounds through it, with all spare clips too. I had one clip that was no good, jammed.
On .22s with slugs? Aint gonna stop a 250 pound 2 legger with a meth head going, but I know what will. Face plants, with .22 Long Rifle, "ShotShell". Like a reg shotgun shell, only way smaller, one round has maybe 50+, tiny balls, .050 (3/64ths).

You stuff that in someones face within 5 feet, start plugging away, and they gonna get "eyeballed out fast", and its what ya want to do is incapacitate the 2 legged threat, then use your 2 legs, to "beat feet". But I would only use in a wheel gun, (mine in 9shot .22 Taurus wheel, here in the shop)..as the cases like to expand, and don't just fall out, a reload.

Depends just where ya going, possible threats. Lots of neat pieces mentioned here though. But will say this, if ya gonna carry, ya really don't want to feel it, just know its there..ya don't wanna walk around with a brick, in yer pocket.

And now that mentioned, how many have old "Guns and Ammo", mags? Remember that dude, Massod Ayoob?...dude was a MASTER, home/personal defense ..wrote a monthly column..let me look a link..
