Greg, thank you! it was an honor for me to be a part of what you created and meet everyone I did because of this fantastic website, it has always been the go to place to get involved in the sport and the community, well done Sir!
Any time I think of the boating days and this site, the friends made, the fun we had, it makes me smile still to this day.
Thanks for all you do Greg!
EDIT: figured I would show you the toy I have now, it also has taken me places and met folks through YouTube since building it in 2020, nothing special but fun for the wife and I at our ageLast edited by Talon2.5; 06-02-2025 at 04:29 AM.

Mr Fun, we are pretty well planted here in the Smoky mountains, love the 4 seasons, the mountains and the rivers, it has gotten a bit crowded around here though over the last few years but still not as bad as where we left.
Instigator, it would be cool if ya find those Screamtoons and hang them in the new shop!
There is a campground up here we love to go to called Elkmont, no power or water at the sites and cell phones don't work, you can actually relax and if we can get a river site we sit in our lounge chairs and drift off listening to the river, that's all you hear, it has been our vacation place for years now, we are unreachable there, we had a few campers but we got a conversion van set up for it now so we don't have to fuss with a camper anymore.

The car we play with is a 66 Tempest, I had one when Wendy and I were dating and got married in 1986, I had a dream we got it back and someone put a 455 4 speed in it, well, I was bummed that it was just a dream, so I went on the hunt for a project and it sure was! but now we get to enjoy it, taking it to Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge event this weekend.

Very cool!
love everything you described about the camper/camping.
One of the islands we hit on Lake Erie, is basically in Canadian water on the north end.
We rent a golf cart to explore and every time we hit that point, both our phones ding us that we need to upgrade to Canadian coverage.
We of course smile and turn our phones off!
We bought a 27’ camper to aid in the hunt for our new homestead down here but stumbled onto this house before we used it more than a couple times.
Miss the camper but it was too much like owning a boat!

Vans Rock !
Been looking around , those Sprinters in 4 x 4 would be a dream machine but need to hit the lottery first , like that you can park on a city street in a regular parking space ( Key West ) and nobody has to know
, just not sure how Adrian will like sleeping in the passenger seat
Tempest came out Beautiful , love the colors and the American Racing rimsmost overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

We have it set up pretty comfy with a thick mattress that's better than the 3 campers we had, it sits on top of the electric lay down seat and I built a bed extension to support it and the coolers go under it, also built a sideboard cook setup in case we have to cook inside on a rainy day and to make morning coffee, we put in LED lighting on its own battery power, put in an A/C unit for summer months that runs on a 2000 watt generator, we use it to cool it down before going to sleep, all in all it works out pretty darn good.

Nice!
I had a couple customers w/the Sprinter based campers and loved them until findind out a cheap, new one is $100k+!
We had a Ford 1 ton e-350 passenger van that I watched a ton of conversion videos on before selling it for the truck and camper.
Tons of choices!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
