Moving truck shows up Tuesday to load us and are southbound Weds!
Bought/built a house on 1/2 an acre, in the far west panhandle, a 1/2 north of Pensacola.
Towed the boat down last wk.
Skip, 39 yrs………, bad ass!
Love you guys!
Come down any time!
You too Keith!
Town we are moving to has a car show once a month!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Instigator I'm kind or surprised your landing in the north Florida area, if we ever get back down that way I'll look you up.
Mr Fun it would be kinda cool to see it come back, I thought Folley may have still been dabling in it?
Tunnel Mike, wassup! the guy that taught me how to purge bugs! not sure I will get back down that way any time soon brother, hope to early retire in 14 months so maybe after that happens

Skip, can’t afford south Fla, hat the traffic and the snow birds!
WAYYYYYYY worse than when you were down.
The Pan Handle surfaced purely due to cost and being able to survive on retirement income.
(She is, I am close)
We started in Gulfport Ms and kept going east
And Foley is doing you proud brother.
He has a weekend place by the Suwannee River and has rally every stinkin 6 months!
No idea how he and Gina keep it up but is amazing.
We we’re down for it a couple yrs ago.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

Commodore Foley has kept the Torch burning on the Suwannee chapter with his Lovely wife Gina all these years , still going strong, unfamiliar waters for me . think there was about a 2 year stretch we wouldn't even boat here in NE Fla , just with everybody in central areas , Winter Haven started it off for many of the crew followed with Alligator Lake , East Lake , etc. and of course the ever popular Silver Glen meet ups starting on the lower St Johns originating at Jungle Den . had a large group show up at Bass World to hit the Glen but very few oldtimers showed and the new wives gave it a big thumbs down as accommodations were a little Grandma shiek , oh well . still get the bug ,,, and speaking of Lobster season , its around the corner

Adriane just told me with this economy it may be a while before there's expendable income left over for life as we knew it , once again the voice of reason

I guess we have to face the fact we are the old geezers now??!! The area we moved to has now started to remind me of the Kissimmee traffic from back then and getting worse, glad to hear Folley and his wife are still rockin and Rollin! Whatever happened to Corona Mike?

I feel like a complete imbecile for not being aware of this thread until just now. Most of the time I am in General Discussion, and naturally, I feel like a complete imbecile for not keeping up with stuff in The Lounge.
Skip, you are one of the people that essentially created this site. You were here way back when we had the old forums. Gary and Keith, you both as well are part of the original group of people that played a very important part in guiding this site from the start. Fujimo, most of us will certainly agree that you have added so much to S&F with your knowledge and photos, that you as well have played a very important role in our early years. You have all had and continue to have a profoundly important part of this site. I am so incredibly fortunate to know all of you. I truly feel that way.
Skip, I have many great memories of those early days. I still remember getting to ride with you in your Talon at the Winter Haven event which was the first event that I covered when I moved to Florida. You are all first-class people, and I consider myself so fortunate because what makes this site is the people, not the boats.
And Skip, I remember so many of your 'Scream Toons', which I keep safely backed up. Those are priceless to me. I tell people all the time that this site's greatest accomplishment is bringing us all together. And for the people that were not here to see Skip's ScreamToons, here they are!
