Can't even see it. It's on the starboard side of the block below the switchboxes.

Ya gotta shoot it from the side so we can see the cover. I do see a suspicious looking hose there though.

Ok I see the bypass from the top of the block to the cover. That looks ok. Is this powerhead on your old midsection and exhaust plate?

Is the serial number on the decal on the clamp bracket the same as the powerhead?

I just left but when I go back I’ll get those numbers for you. I have it in Mamaw’s garage she lives like 20 minutes from me. I did compression test today just to make sure I wasn’t throwing money at a dead motor. I got 125 on all 6 cylinders so it’s a good motor just have to figure it out.

coupla things?.. it has bleed bibs in tha cylinders?.. 225's don't... could have been added with tha carb conversion?.. can't tell if front is five or seven petal?.. since reed plate is painted might be a five.. had an electric fuel pump also.. vacume is plugged.. looks ta be a hodge podge pro max...

Merc says that number is a '98 225...... is a "zero" G, not an O...

need better pics of front half and/or sides showing tha carb/reed plate mounting bolts... need side/rear pictures of tha plate/plates under tha block............

where did you get tha idea it was an '88?... it has "bucket cowl..

after blowin' it up several times it looks ta be a seven petal reed plate ('91 200) with wh's... would work for me!.............. if they took tha time and effort ta add tha bibs on tha cylinders kinda proves they weren't amateurs!
