    You know it amazes me the people who are a pain in the ass. When I raced (before you could hide your minimal character) behind a tiny computer screen and people were helpful to one another the kind of crazy junk I have seen just did not happen.
    I came within a hairs breadth of buying a Specter some years ago when the Miami boat show was still good and Tim Seebold was working with you. I was an average racer in IOGP and Tim knew me by site at least. I asked him if we might get a short demo ride and he pretty much blew me off not very nicely informing us that if we were not going to buy one he pretty much had no time for me. I had a check in my back pocket. He just turned around and walked away without another word and that ended that. We ended up with a third choice and later got a Kachina which was a great boat.
    Someone else owned the company then but same thing happened to me with the first GTR in town here and I bought a CTS-V instead. The story is worth relating I think.
    I want to wish you guys great success with this. Would love to follow along but I understand your viewpoint. So... Good luck and God's grace to you guy. Stay safe and set that record.

    That is terrible to hear! Was this when Chris Ivey owned Spectre or before that? I never knew Tim helped any of the previous owners with Spectre. Learn something every day. Totally un-acceptable to hear he treated you like that. If You catch me out, I will be more than happy to take you for a ride and hang out, you don't even have to buy a boat, I just like hanging out with other boat nuts.

    Electric power is becoming a new category for the record books.
    ~~~~~
    An accomplished powerboat racer, Shaun Torrente plans to pilot a 32-foot catamaran powered by twin 180-hp electric outboard motors to a new electric-outboard boat speed record. Photo by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.
    Marino and the Hellkats crew are providing the vessel in the form of a 32-foot Hellkats Super-Sport Widebody catamaran. Vision Marine Technologies is handling the twin 180-hp, 160-kilowatt E-Motion electric outboards for the 32-footer. Not only will Torrente drive the cat in the record attempt, he’ll work with VMT and Hellkats to design the lower unit section of the engine, help with fabrication and rigging and handle setup of the boat.
    It would be easy if it worked that way power....2 more engines and the boat has to be modded for the x-tra weight etc.
    83 V-King, 96 Mariner, ff block 2.5 w/a 28p chopper
    Ain't it great to have papa TRUMP back at the helm?
    They ran an elec OB at LOTO yesterday.
    They didn’t post a speed.
    Looked like low/mid 50’s
    I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
    I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
    Their first pass was 45, second was 46.
    A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...
