The 2.5 tuner plate, when placed in the mid housing just has more flat to cover the top of the housing . It has the extra studs facing down to bolt were the normal 3.5 studs are located . Simple to run either size motor . Each powerhead has its own tuner and lower cowling pan assembly.

These are motors being developed for Racing applications . We are working on a power delivery solution for multi pinion, longer but thiner cases. Hydro dynamics is on our minds as current cases have issues as power increases. Direct form of injection will also come as many options have become available today . The goal is to create a very clean port design with the case inducted system , then venture into a hybrid form of direct injection.
many thanks, so deck height is the same as is the overall height?

I think they put Tom in modified outboard class at LOTO if I remember correctly.

With so few outboards , I'm surprised they would even bother pulling a cowling off .
Do they archive the records prior to the previous years event ?
Kennedy ran in F last year according to what was posted .

The 3.5 block is 1" wider , 2" deeper (front to back) and 2 1/2 " taller than our 2.5 block. Deck height is taller on the 3.5 as well . Still a small and light profile for its cubs

So we have the same look design upper and lower cowlings , just 3.5 is little bigger

I think they do. Last year Tom's boat got loose on him and out of shape. It resulted in the 120mph. He has run 123mph the year before I believe. Are you saying some will not be honest Chaz? LOL.
Running a 32DW with the Caldwell motors really does not prove much of anything other than if they can build some high HP engines. They only comparison would be a 32DW race boat that ran 119mph with 300xs power in 3/4mile. if the 32' they are building has the HP as claimed along with weight savings I would expect to see high 120's or so.

We will be shooting for 130 to 140 mph . Set up and good testing will
tell in time . Horse power to weight ratio is good , and def possible to get there .

[QUOTE=caldwellrace;3042447]CRT and Doug Wright today, have made a deal on an all carbon fiber 32' race boat . She will be gunmetal base color with corp group coloring and graphics. We plan to finish the build late July and run her at Loto. She will be rigged with our custom billet mids in the 12" configuration . The Carbon horned CR 2.5's will run first , then we will pull the tuners and 2.5 powerheads and drop in the 3.5 tuners and powerheads . She will be a great tool for testing our race engines . Jay Price , a world champion driver has been contracted as the throttle man . CRT is very excited about this deal and the need for speed lives on.
Makes me want to go see this Loto deal
We have invented the world; WE see

What gear ratio are you guys going to have on the 3.5s?

you could just bolt up the OMC F1 v8 lower ( for circuit stuff), already designed and tested and still made by Seaway.
Maybe see if they would put the twin pinion offshore full shift box in production?
Going to need large gears to hold it back.

I thought I remembered the same results , but couldn't find any past history beyond a year . A fair benchmark , and if there is any UGE discrepancy , I'm sure Tom will chime in ..

Hight teens is also pretty fair when you look at the speeds the "S-class" boats run with 300XS power .

Are you saying some will not be honest Chaz? LOL.

No sir - I would never insinuate that .. !!!

MFG … wants to show off what they build

Pro's … need the write off , keep log books , pay in checks

Non Pro's .. sleep in tents , eat beanie-weenies , scrape change together

Stock .. if you can't see it from the outside

Factory Mod .. if it spill's over to the outside

Custom Mod .. you can't hide that ****

Power … ( no not you ) see Stock but with funny little hidden lines ..

If you have never been to the shootout, you really owe it to yourself to go. If there was one boating event and or race that I had to choose, LOTO is it. Try to get a place near Camden on the lake if possible and get there for the street party mid week.
