I fly out tomorrow - I'm going to Sebastian Florida for the next week to visit my brother and sister in law. Gotta get them to show me this Sebastian Inlet.
Here in Rhode Island, we have the Charleston Breachway, the Quonnie Breachway, and the Weekapaug breachway. .... BUT THE MOST FUN is the Narrow River dumping straight into the ocean, but it's in an "S" turn, shallow water, and lots of submerged boulders. Narrow River is a fun one.
Here's a picture of the Narrow River exit: It looks awefully calm from Google haha.

Been out of Quonnie and Charlestown too many times to remember , but remember coming into Charlestown once as a kid in the 60's with my family in a 18 ft lyman with a 35 johnson and we got pushed up against the rocks it cracked a strake and a rib and was leaking some so we all got to the other side of the boat and made it back to Toms marina where my dad patched it up with a fiberglass kit and was back out there the next day minus my mother who was having none of that again .

This happen at least 6 months ago . That was a 16 year old kid the rescued the man in the water . From what I'm seeing , the boat was pretty well swamped before it comes into this video . So he was already helpless at this point . Best thing he could have done , was Stayed Home and waited for a better day to go outside , or at lease a safer inlet to return into . My understanding is the this inlet is always a bad spot !

It's not just the inlets . Ever since ships have been sailing they have wrecked off of our coast . One of the most heartbreaking was the loss of Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen . It's been almost three years since the two 14 year old boys went out the Jupiter inlet in their 19' boat , only to never be seen alive again .
The Coast Guard found their boat capsized out in the Gulf stream off of Daytona Beach a couple days later .
