UPS? that doesn't sound like you Bud. Good thing I held off, if they use UPS that would add a $80.00 brokerage fee to the total.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that Glenn. I was afraid that might be the case, and I did ask up front. As you can tell, they offer what they offer for a discount. I did do my best.

Sport vest usually runs $360, sale price $300. For a discount production run color must be orange. For me, if I ever need the jacket to do its job, that is my preference. Law enforcement may ask fewer questions too. If you want something else it cannot be combined with the special. So, that's the deal. I understand some may back out for whatever reason, but it is my hope that most follow through for 3 reasons:1) keep yourself safe on the water2) provide a good turn out to lifeline so they will do it again3) save my face because I told them we would buyI am not involved with the money, ordering or shipping. I simply went to bat to get us a discount. I've done the best I can, so order your jackets! Next post will have the details.

okay, this is fantastic! but from this post till today is 3 days. understand, I need to build this into my budget. no need for a firesale kind of structure. I cerntally appreciate the discount, but have to raise funds as I don't carry a surplus as I did 7 yrs. ago, you can figure that part out. fun out

Keith, they gave us 5 business days. That's what they offered, so that's what I posted. If you're not ready, you're not ready. I'm not sure what else to say. I have complete respect for all financial positions. I've been in all of them, well, except wealthy. I'm not attempting a fire sale. I attempted to negotiate a discount on their jackets based on a group purchase. They provided the terms, I posted them.

What I did neglect to mention is they did say the material for the three on hold had already been cut. Guess they will hold off till the deadline to see what materializes. Then make the run or bite the bullet and complete what was ordered.

Sometimes all it takes is a holding a good old fashioned grudge for being done wrong. I'll watch my hair grow before directv ever gets another red cent from me.

Not to get completely off topic here. But I believe it has alot to do with the regions/hubs etc. I get stuff shipped in from all over the US and Canada. I could write a book on the nightmares myself and customers have gone through with UPS over Lost and Damaged/ Completely ruined shippments. Fed Ex sence my commercial account was established 5 years ago has only lost (1) package. And when Debbie Fuller (Fullers Marine & Machine) got through with them it suddenly appeared.

    Back on Topic sorry Quinten.

Keith, I'm dead serious when I say this. After the discount expires, the cost of the jacket will rise, this exacerbates your current situation, thefore increasing cost, and from what I understand, time frame due to needed extra cost. I am willing to buy your vest and send it on over to you when you're ready, within reason obviously. I'd hate for you to need this important device, and not have it. Let me know.

about your offer Quinten to Mr Fun!!!! There are still some of us left in this world.

If some of these members that committed don't come forth by Monday afternoon. I'll buy a capsule suit (That I really don't need as I already have one) and a couple Sports. This is becoming ridiculous and Cow Pie in the face to the ones that committed and haven't even had the Balls to post and stand up as to why they wont or cant buy??? True Men with dignity and honesty do that. Mr fun Take this mans offer and accept it. Why did you or anyone else commit in the first place if you had funds issues etc.???????. The very reason Lifeline set a cut off date is because of production runs. And why do you think they have a measurement chart to fill out and send in??? These suits are not off the shelf items for the most part like West Marine. This offer isn't their only means of business i'll guarantee you. And they only did this offer because of the volume that you guys committed to that Quinten relayed to them. He even forwarded this thread link to them to support his claim.

I've seen this very thing happen before here on Screamandfly to Great members like Quinten. And its a shame. And Shame on anyone that committed that don't at a minimum stand up, Order or post as to why they cant or wont.

Glenn, Dave you were both forthwith about what you wanted or the exchange issue. That was clearly up front and stand up!!! You both posted as to your individual issues. BRAVO Gentleman!!!

Anybody else having problems getting in touch with Lifeline. I have called several times today, got a recording, left a message and no one has called me back. I am calling the main number at 928-669-9241. Is there another number I should try?
